It's shocking there are only two British artists in the whole Top 20 of the singles chart. Has this ever happened before? Why has the UK industry's ability to create new stars completely cratered in the last few years?

The UK industry has struggled to adapt to the streaming era and has no idea how to market acts anymore, especially since the death of prime time TV performance slots.
