She cares more about leaving a good trace in her work than anything else and if any Lorde stans cares about streams or numbers, they're in the wrong fanbase, that's why so many fans that were "Melodrama" stans and not Lorde stans dropped her after "Solar Power" and honestly? It was for better. Solar Power might be one of the best things that happened in her career ngl 2
SLUTTVFTV Posted May 16 Posted May 16 i love lorde, but stanning lana is so much more interesting. we actually get music ever 1.5/2 years, and it's usually good! i stan both of them. i couldn't imagine solely stanning lorde, what do y'all get.. an instagram story every 5 months? sounds torturous
80x100 Posted May 16 Posted May 16 out of the context but i want to remind you to homemade dynamite remix managed to stay on the spotify top50 for a more than a month. its pretty big for their standarts when you think lorde and the other singers didnt even promote the song twice on the social media. it did well

ontherocks Posted May 16 Posted May 16 I am already so bored of y'all. And in all seriousness, I am on here for long enough to remember the fake Lorde stanning on ATRL just to spite Lana back in the day. Lorde stans have not been just chill and innocent victims. They just chose to shut up after a while, cause they were way less since Lana stans outnumber them everywhere by a large margin 2

It's not that different tbh. Especially with Lasso being an upcoming snoozefest like nobody wants that country shite Edited May 16 by airplane 3

Riverbank Posted May 16 Posted May 16 4 minutes ago, Fire Rides said: trying to understand your point cause none of them was that big when this dropped and haven't even made that much noise 4 minutes ago, bielneira said: Khalid, Post Malone and SZA weren't as big as they are now at that time lmao When Lana did collabs with Ariana, Miley, The Weeknd, and Taylor, all of them were already BIG 2 minutes ago, Kayseri Mantisi said: Khalid opened for Melodrama World Tour, CTRL was freshly out, and Post only had Stoney - literally none of them were that big in 2017 lol. We all know this was an attempt by her label too and she didn't even care. This is not comparable to Taylor Swift, Quavo, The Weeknd, dropping your "unreleased" songs when they go viral on TikTok & more, so yes I have the nerve. Please. Khalid was a streaming giant and heavily playlisted on Spotify back in 2017, and he's collected multiple hits by that point, Lovely being just one example (and that was released in 2016 mind you). SZA was blowing up in 2017 thanks to Ctrl and Stoney literally has 4 songs with more than 1B streams. I think anyone can tell why Lorde featured them on the remix. Go gaslight someone else 2 3

RideOrDie Posted May 16 Posted May 16 "Royals" singer Lorde: "Lana Del Rey's music is unhealthy for young girls." The Sun reports that the American singer was offered royalties from Lorde's track from her new album Solar Power, after the melodies from the song were compared to Del Rey's Wild At Heart and Hope Is A Dangerous Thing For A Woman Like Me To Have.
airplane Posted May 16 Posted May 16 (edited) Lana stans are lowkey obsessed with everyone (especially with Melanie on stan twitter). It might be because the other girls are serving something experimental while she's still using the same tired ass producer and has shown zero evolution on her past 3 albums Edited May 16 by airplane 3

Richie.Valdez Posted May 16 Posted May 16 Ummm.. we don't? Why would we? Be serious... Lana is the second most-streamed female artist of 2024 so far. Lana worked and persevered and she is in fact more talented than Lorde so IDK what are you even trying to argue. We don't care about her, we do not stream her.. hell, who does? 2

EdgeofTeeth Posted May 16 Posted May 16 I don't think Lana stans as a whole are obsessed with Lorde Maybe a select few who choose to live in 2014 when it was semi-appropriate to compare them
