Love Karol but her Stans are getting a little too cocky now because of a successful stadium tour and album lol 

 

Before TQG what was her global smash? Or that entered top 10 in other countries. ? Exactly

 

I've been hearing about this For a while now actually after the VMAs, when Sony Latin decided to add TQG on Shakira's album. 
 

it's a collaboration not Karol's song or a feature, if the beef is because of that then she needs to grow up. How you going to present a second song to someone and then get mad because she (shakira) is adding it on her album because it goes with the whole break up feel of the album.

 

nobody is threatened by a newbie with her 107+ collaborations in a 6 year span. Atrl needs to stop generalizing, some shakira fans are actually glad she finally has actual competition. 30+ years competing and beating men in their own categories, I mean not many can say that.

No.1 album with low sales is nothing to be proud of. Shakira has Spanish albums with higher weekly sales. I never care about weekly charts when the number of overall sales is there. TQG is her only Top 10s (thank you Shakira)

Stadium, we can talk about this next year when Shakira announces hers. 

Karol G does well in recent years and I won't deny this. But she's way far from reaching Shakira's status. She is very limited with only the Spanish speaking latin community cares about her that's why she flopped in Brazil and avoid touring Canada.

Exactly that's when we noticed the cocky attitude and slick comments from her fans on social media, knowing damn well her manager bought that and bey or Taylor deserved it.

 

if her team was gonna get mad over a damn song that blew up they shouldn't have presented it to Shakira. (If the alleged drama is indeed about TQG)

She' not an international sensation like Shakira. If she can't breakthrough, she will never be able to compare with Shakira.

Because the musical landscape is very different today than it was 10-20 years ago?

 

Everyone says the Shakira fans are jealous or threatened when the Karol fans are the same, cocky and childish.

 

Shakira debuted at #4 back in 2005 with Fijacion Oral with 140k+ copies (all pure sales), that's more than 50k than what Karol did.

 

Touring is booming nowadays, specially post pandemic and the Latin community has increased a lot since then... you want to compare the touring stats of someone touring during her peak when touring is at its most profitable against a legacy act? Make it make sense...

 

Karol is killing it and is the most succesful artist out of the current Latin girlies, and that does not diminish any of Shakira's achievements or erase her legacy and legendary career. We should be happy that we have more than ONE femlae Latin artist being succesful but of course everybody turned this into a drama, always pitting female against each other.

 

I wish TQG would've never happened... it's just been stan wars, and the song is not even that good to begin with. Both have better material in their albums...

 

I don't believe there's any beef but there was never love to begin with. Like they both respect each other but would not call each other friends or anything. This collab was just a business transaction (and you can tell by their interactions,) and that is fine! Not every artist have to be bff with their collaborators! But the fans have not helped a bit and every conversation about this has become toxic.
