VerdantHue Posted May 16 Posted May 16 Okay well for that to happen she really needs to work with different producers and writers that challenge her artistically. In a way, RO sounds like an extension of FN - there's no evolution in her sound.
BionicWooHoo Posted May 16 Posted May 16 Love Dua but her team was wrong for setting her up like this. Its giving Zara Larson wanting to be the next MJ teas 1 4
Dolce Vita Posted May 16 Posted May 16 love her and the album but didn't katy/her team say this type of thing right before whiteness came out 1
Jay07 Posted May 16 Posted May 16 This album aint changing no culture. It has some cute songs though. 1

Dula Peep Posted May 16 Posted May 16 Right, whatever haters....anyways, stream Maria for fresh breath.
Bookmark99 Posted May 16 Posted May 16 Lol her team needs to leave these discussions in the board room.

Rainbows Posted May 16 Posted May 16 I think Dua is talented and a decent singer but I really don't know if she has the ability to have a beyonce level career imo
RedOne Posted May 16 Posted May 16 I love Dua, but can someone point to one song that's left on the album that can be a "2 billion streaming smash" or let alone "change pop culture"? There isn't one, a few can be moderate hits IF she pushes them, but that's it. If Houdini couldn't do it - none of the songs that are left can. She needs to go back to the drawing board, work with different producers and come back with something stronger (and a well crafted era with a clear vision like FN) and then we'll see about changing the pop culture.
