OTHs will literally use ANYTHING to dunk on Taylor :bibliahh:

Yall can drag her for white feminism all you want but when her opps don't even pass the simple hurdle of respecting women... :coffee2:

He felt very comfortable as a homophobic, sexist, racist to quote Taylor. He didn't quote Beyonce, Gaga, Rihanna or anyone else, he probably hates them all.

Weirdo

The irony is that what he said goes against everything Taylor actually stands for with feminism.

I wouldn't be surprised if she eventually speaks out about this and/or makes a song dragging him in the future tbh. I feel like this will rile her up.

I mean, the guy is an a*hole, he clearly just used that for clout. No one mentions what he actually quote (and I could not stomach hearing this bigot talk), the quote is "familiarity breeds contempt" apparently. Which is such a random thing to quote as a Taylor Swift quote, it's more like a popular saying or something?

Also as pointed out, Bejeweled is the worst song to quote given the rest of the lyrics and general message. :suburban:

Also I hope any potential students to this school look at this clip and side eye - any school who lets a guest make a graduation speech like this and doesn't immediately denounce what was said here is a giant red flag.

As a practicing Christian, his speech about his wife is one of the most sexist things I've EVER heard. That was a really hot take. A wife and homemaker is NOT the only thing a woman is good for nor created for. Oh my gosh. I need to get out of this thread before my feelings begin to take over.

Women, you are so much more than a man's tool piece. :ace:

Imagine quoting Taylor Swift of all people when saying women are better off in the kitchen…

"Of all people"???? He'd still be wrong even if he was quoting a stay at home mom

just goes to show, no matter how big you are, no woman is immune from sexism

Wait seriously? I, obviously, didn't watch the video but that is NOT a Taylor Swift quote.

What a disgusting man and what a disgusting thread insinuating this is somehow Taylor's fault :deadbanana2:

I'm sorry, but some of y'all take all this way too personally. Like this is some Q-Anon adjacent behavior/tactics all because Taylor outsold your fave. Seek help.

This seems like a SNL parody

The way he is in tears before saying his wife is now a homemaker :bibliahh:

Vile.  I hope this blows up so big that the NFL has to address it lest they risk losing all the new Swiftie fans they gained last year.

I know Taylor is fuming about being referred to as "my teammate's girlfriend," and about the whole speech in general.  Hope she writes a song about this!

You are who you associate yourself with. If Taylor is comfortable with this man, then she is also racist, homophobic, and sexist.

Saddam Hussein used an Arabic version of Whitney Houston's I Will Always Love You as his re-election campaign song in 2002, I guess that also makes Whitney Houston a dictator and Kurd-phobic.

You could also look at Osama bin Laden having pictures of Shakira on his hard drive. What does that make Shakira?

That took me out too. Imagine giving a speech at someone's graduation when the only way you know popular sayings is through Taylor Swift lyrics :rip:
