It is a classic and one of the most popular albums of all time but VU&N created like 5 different rock subgenres in 40 minutes. Truly visionary stuff and very edgy subjects for the time. Should've been top 50 at least

They'll have Beyonce and Taylor there so it's all pointless.

without even seeing the top 50, a lot of albums are entirely too low :skull:

If Sign is the sole Prince entry…. No top 50 is a choice. I'm betting on Purple Rain making it

Beyonce has some of the most critically acclaimed pop albums of all time, why wouldn't you expect her to be in the top 50?

I do, but to me she's more of a performer than a creator. I don't know if that makes sense.

Sade being Top 70 instead of Top 20 or 30 feels racist to me moo.png

Why are people shocked with 'ANTI' being on the list, if the album appeared in several decade-end lists?

cant wait to see top 10 !!!

There will be meltdowns when some people realise their fave isn't getting a second album and others miss out altogether.

Does anyone have a list of artists we haven't had yet, but have to be in there somewhere?

I'm expecting to see most of these ones.

The Beatles
The Beach Boys
Chuck Berry
Led Zeppelin
Pink Floyd
David Bowie
Radiohead
Kendrick Lamar
Frank Ocean
Nirvana
Miles Davis
Marvin Gaye
Bob Dylan
Stevie Wonder
Fleetwood Mac
Queen
Michael Jackson
Public Enemy
Bruce Springsteen
Johnny Cash
Joni Mitchell
Amy Winehouse
Kate Bush
The Clash - London Calling has to be in there.
The Sex Pistols
Joy Division
Jeff Buckley - can't leave Grace out of the list.
Kanye - He might be out of favour these days, but probably can't be left out.
