Cause pretending a #55 is the same as a #18 on an explicitly ranked list is giving nothing but hard copium. Is a #55 on the Hot 100 the same as a #18? Or on the AFI Top 100 Movies ranking? Or on any Top Universities list? Yes, any entry making these lists is something commendable, but the rankings exist for a reason and it is up to each individual person to decide whether or not they want to attach importance to them. But just as '1989' won't be in the same breath as the inevitable number 1 album on this list, 'ANTI' is not in the same breath as '1989', or '21' or 'Revolver', and likewise something ranked in the 90s region is not in the same breath as 'ANTI' either, at least within this particular framework established by Apple Music experts & industry people. This isn't a group project. Edited May 21 by Feanor
Wondy Lust Posted May 21 Posted May 21 Honestly, 1989(TV) was probably the least expected of Taylor's albums to appear on this list for me. The MPG entries are all over the place to be honest, a complete mess.
BlueTimberwolf Posted May 21 Posted May 21 They can never just rate Taylor fairly. The always have to overdue, it and it invalidates the whole thing. Maybe they are just using her for clicks. *And FYI, the actual "pop bible" of the 2010s is Teenage Dream, anyone in real life would say that 3

It's pure early 2010s pop bliss but apart from the title track it is a musical relic. Meanwhile songs like Blank Space, Style, OOTW, and Wildest Dreams sound as fresh today as they did 10 years ago. The only real outlier is SIO which sounds like a 2010s-tinted answer to Toni Basil. 3
