nnnn yeah, Taylor singlehandedly makes up a genre-sized chunk of Apple Music streams at this point, there's no way she won't be on the list :deadbanana4:

I'd be thrilled with folklore as a compromise between success and quality but you're probably right :gaycat6:

I have a good feeling Beyonce will have two entries. Lemonade will likely be ranked higher

Björk was at the peak of her popularity at that time, the alternative and electronic genre also reached its apogee.

In addition, this is her best era in terms of music videos, which complemented the songs incredibly cool.

The context is also important: during the recording period, a crazy Bjork fan sent her a package with a bomb, which was intercepted by the police. The album is inspired by this incident, as Björk was stressed and worried about herself and her children.

In general, influence is also important. Homogenic has definitely had an impact on the electronic genre, more than Vespertine.

I get it, but it was supposed to be a list of "best albums", not "most impactful" ones.

There's absolutely no logical explanation for ANY Taylor Swift album to be mentioned on this list at this point. :chick1:

To be fair, Apple does note something along those lines on their site when they introduced the list.

will naturally not be included in this ranking. But maybe TMZ or People Magazine will have a Top 100 tabloid stars of all-time ranking, soon? :celestial3:

Which Taylor album do we think is making the list?

My hope is Folklore, but I could see Red, 1989, or Fearless getting it too

Taylor's 11 albums, including self titled, will be the first 11 on the list

As a diehard Madonna fan, I cannot for the life of me understand these lists or fans who say Like a Prayer is her best album. Like… :deadbanana4:

Ray of Light? Confessions? Music? American Life?

I'd be SO slayed if they'd picked Erotica, the *actual* best Madonna album, for a list like this. Forever under appreciated.

American Life? The list isn't 100 greatest cult classics.

It kinda is her best album, though.

It's easier to understand when you realize that these lists nearly always conflate success and/or "influence" with quality. Like it's actually kinda shocking they chose Listen Without Prejudice and Norman Rockwell over Faith and Born To Die.

Well yeah, I didn't obviously expect it to make it, nor Erotica :rip: But my point is that Madonna has MUCH better albums than Like A Prayer. I rank it in the bottom 5.
