SlowGinFizzzz Posted May 13 Posted May 13 Hope that means I'll finally get to play Kingdom Hearts without having to buy another console (aside from the Switch 2, that is). 2
HarajukuPrincess Posted May 13 Posted May 13 Yeah bboooooyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy, NINTENDO where it's AT!!!
Bubble Tea Posted May 14 Posted May 14 I can't stand Final Fantasy VII, I've tried to get into it several times but the story just. doesn't. hit! They should spend more time perfecting FFX / FFVIII remakes / sequels. 2
elevate Posted May 14 Posted May 14 Switch already has all FFs from 1 to 12, exc 11. This is more about SE launching HD titles on Steam and Xbox concurrently, which they did with XIII from memory, and it became the fastest selling title in the series at that time. The problem SE has is that XIII sold so well because people liked 12 (not 13), and Rebirth is underperforming because Remake was overhyped. They don't seem to know what the userbase actually wants, so multiplat releases won't save them this time. I think this company's days are numbered.
popmusicisdead Posted May 14 Posted May 14 only FFXVI was a (timed) exclusive though? FFXV was multiplat at release
Fevesy Posted May 14 Posted May 14 I -don't- mind this tbh. As a FF stan if they can get their games on the Switch 2 and PC at launch then it's more security of the franchise as a whole. FFXIV is an amazing success with most of it's playerbase being on PC so really new FF games should come out on PC at launch and not 1-2 years later with a FFXIV campaign. If they have free items in FFXIV when you purchase one of the mainline FF games it's literally free money and sales. Some of us (me) pay $300 just for an emote on FFXIV.
If U Seek Amy Posted May 15 Posted May 15 Playstation deserves it for years of awful handling of their new console. Yes, there was a pandemic and abusive scalpers and a chip shortage and all that. But it took them so long to finally actually start trying to fight scalpers that people who wanted them stopped caring and now people have moved on. As soon as they saw this was going to be an issue (if not right from the start honestly) they should have implemented various ways to make sure consoles get into more true consumer hands. How no one in leadership saw the issue with selling hardware to only scalpers was going to cause consumers to move on/not care and low software sales long term is beyond me. But they sure rushed to promote those headlines about how many PS5s they were selling during the time so oh well! Meanwhile Nintendo is delaying the Switch 2 to properly prepare stock/making sure consumers can buy their stock <3
