love the diversity & the fact random artists cant easily bag a top 10 rn.

It's mainly the US charts that have seen this weird increase.. and i don't think some of these songs are this big to justify these huge numbers. Especially the tiktok hits that would have normally done 2M max in the US

It's not just the songs at the very top either. The #34 song on US Spotify today has over a million streams. A year ago today, only 9 songs had over a million streams on the Friday US chart  Daily numbers that used to be reserved for huge hits are now being done by midsized hits or recurrent songs, it's insane.
