Actually, her streams have been pretty big for years now. Always in the top 10 amog female artists for years

The resurgence started around 2021, ironically when her reputation was at its worst and she put out her least commercially successful albums.

Honestly no wonder why in the long run Young & Beautiful did better, I feel Royals reflects the "Pick Me" way of thinking of 2013, completely rejecting materialism and deeming all those who didn't agree with that philosophy vapid.

Young & Beautiful still feels relevant in today's context because it evokes a different array of emotions in a way that very few other songs are able to do do: love, self-doubt, melancholy, joy, passion, desperation... It's open for many interpretations, and I think that's what it makes it hold up so well.

She was already the 2nd most daily streamed artist before her collab with Taylor (which flopped).
