A Million Lights Posted May 10 Posted May 10 The Art Deco chanteuse just sold out her first US stadium date. What went right for her? Talent? Hard work? Tik Tok? 1
suburbannature Posted May 10 Posted May 10 Innovative, influential music that stands the test of time 8
ontherocks Posted May 10 Posted May 10 TikTok is not selling tickets. We have seen it time and time again. She's just a ******* legend. 7
toy soldier. Posted May 10 Posted May 10 Didn't sell out to the GP taste and kept doing whatever she wanted, even if at the time it cost her a lot of fans who still wanted BTD Lana. She is a completely different artist than her debut 4
UnusualBoy Posted May 10 Posted May 10 An example of talent winning at the end, I love how she's getting her flowers now, she deserves it. 1
geodude Posted May 10 Posted May 10 She kept hustling honestly. After that SNL performance i thought she would disappear but she kept consistently releasing. 1
Verandi Posted May 10 Posted May 10 Not appease to the critics, keep doing her thing despite the hate and parodies, her undeniable influence stood the test of time, again and again. 1
ForgottenSoul Posted May 10 Posted May 10 (edited) I do think Tik Tok deffo helped more people discover how amazing she is. Also she actually started doing **** lmfao, she barely ever promoted but now days she seems to be enjoying herself. Edited May 10 by ForgottenSoul

Souvenir Posted May 10 Posted May 10 i remember when lorde stans used to make fun of her spotify stats back in 2016/2017 1
Trent W Posted May 10 Posted May 10 She is a legend and people are just catching up to how big her impact was 10 years ago. She was the most influential woman to debut in the 2010s and almost all the girls that came after her were influenced. Even Taylor was influenced by Lana 1
vale9001 Posted May 10 Posted May 10 (edited) This kind of artists grew up with the time. Most of the pop careers before the 80s were like this, Springsteen reached his mainstream peak in 1984 after 13-14 years in the business. Taylor's career has a similar path even if in the mainstream. In this new century the model of pop music was taking someone, making an album with 9 singles, another album with 6 singles and then by girl the next one Is ready. One of the positive effect of the streaming is it's making album artists relevant again (or i would Say almost the only relevant artists cause labels are failing to find pop stars can have more than 1-2 hits, these big pop albums with 7 big hits like in the 2000s and 2010s seem more and more a mirage now).
