Nicki was heavily criticized for going too far earlier this year during her IG rants and Big Foot diss, but Kendrick and Drake have been throwing haymakers back and forth and Kendrick hasn't receive the same negative backlash like Nicki received. 

 

Is it because Kendrick kept the disses strictly to music and avoided social media ramblings? Does sexism have anything to do with it? Let's discuss.

1) yes her going on an IG rant instead of going straight to releasing the track made her lose credibility

2) Nicki started it with Megan (like with Drake to Kendrick)

3) Nicki (much like Drake) kept using their numbers as a gotcha (hip hop doesn't care about numbers)

4) Big Foot was trash

Also, Kendrick did not go too far. Drake went after his family first for no reason and then Kendrick ended that groomer because he has a long history of creepy behavior with young girls

I thought the consensus was she was just unhinged with the tweet rant and the song sucked, not that she went too far....

 

And no...Kendrick hit for the jugular after he warned Drake. If anything Drake took it too far first and Kendrick retaliated but its a rap beef,  it happens. Hopefully it doesn't lead to actual violence ( the shooting at Drakes house was unrelated to the beef I meaning between Kendrick and Drake)

Kendrick was responding to several diss tracks made by Drake, which were themselves a way out of proportion response to one line by Kendrick

 

Nicki went way too far with Big Foot in response to a indirect dig on one half of a bar on Megan's song Moreover, Nicki's track was absolute garbage. All of her disses were either related to Megan's appearance (her height and size, in particular) or inherently misogynistic victim-blaming, dismissing and invalidating the abuse and violence Megan experienced, which has been verified in court. The irony that Nicki fails to see is that by siding with the abuser, she only underscored Megan's original diss, which only pointed out her association with known abusers

Just because you're pitting unhinged against more unhinged doesn't mean we have to "forgive" a person who said disgusting things. Nicki deserves no apology. She's a 40 year old adult who was making fun of a younger woman being literally shot  she's literally insane and deserves all the hate she gets (I do love her humor and lots of her music though). After it's all said and done, Hiss is now definitely a full on Drake diss, even with that Megan's law line.

So no, Nicki made a big deal out of it and turned it about herself, which is a Freudian slip and a half tbh. She was being a clown and then clowned herself lol.

No. Nicki is pure garbage and should be treated as such. However she has the type of fanbase that is so full of degenerates that no one will care how foul she is as long as the numbers are good. Nicki is untouchable, she could slaughter a barb's whole family and they would still blindly follow. It's sick but true.
