Jacobdaniel Posted May 26 Posted May 26 watched this at my local gay bar. very fun! the piano section kinda dragged on a bit but once we got to the Finale section, the whole club was dancing and singing along....until she started Hold My Hand, such an odd closer 1
Europe Posted May 26 Posted May 26 Watching rn and the bad romance segment is so well-done. Not only are the vocals on point, the static hand choreo is fascinating when you see it so clearly. 2
Uncatena Posted May 26 Posted May 26 FINALLY a proper, fantastic concert film from her. it's the whole experience, well edited and packaged. the vocals are top notch and the show remains her best. so goooood. 2
RT Air Posted May 26 Posted May 26 (edited) She hasn't toured anywhere near me with Chromatica so this is my first time getting to know the setlist or any of the visuals, and I have to say it's a fantastic show and gives The Monster Ball a run for its money The opening section felt a bit as if she just wanted to get those mammoth hits out of the way, but it worked because those 3 songs basically sell themselves and they set the mood without requiring any extra spectacle. The ballad section dragged a bit though and Hold My Hand is a lackluster choice for a closer, but I get that it was the newest thing at the time so it's kinda forgiven Act I, II, and III were top tier, the pacing, the visuals, her vocals, whew Edited May 26 by RT Air 2

Jacobdaniel Posted May 27 Posted May 27 the static choreography for bad romance is cool. but i was kinda bummed she did Alice strapped to a table. I feel like the song needs some dancing. Sour Candy was never my favorite (still good tho!) but she really devoured it on this tour. One of the highlights for me. I still hold that the piano section is too long. I'd have dropped Fun Tonight, and added Plastic Doll somewhere in Act II, maybe
Almodusa Posted May 27 Posted May 27 As it went on, I really appreciated the editing because it was just fun. What a great special
ATRL Moderator wehavetostan Posted May 27 ATRL Moderator Posted May 27 Just watched and loved it jealous that she didn’t perform Angel Down at my show
Janet Posted May 27 Author Posted May 27 Just realised we don't get a speech from her / anything to drag down the momentum of the show for ages? More of this in the future please, Gag!
Soup in Teapot Posted May 27 Posted May 27 The way this flawless concert film elevated the whole Chromatica album to a new level. Her mind 2
Soup in Teapot Posted May 27 Posted May 27 I went to Boston and Chicago leg, you can tell her put all her energy in it, also the dancers and band are so devoured into this tour. What a fantastic experience!
Janet Posted May 27 Author Posted May 27 the Free Woman performance makes me so emotional. From understanding the background of why she wrote it (a love letter to the Trans community), embracing the audience as she walks past the crowd (after two years of lockdowns), finally to the end of the performance where her dancers are revelling in the extended outro and she rejoins them - in love with music. I don't want to hear ANY slander for this gem again! 2
Taylor fanboy Posted May 27 Posted May 27 Nothing short of amazing!!! The piano section is my favorite and Act II. Fun Tonight and Enigma back to back like that. It's just missing ARTPOP but it is what it is. 1
Dear Reader Posted May 27 Posted May 27 Full body chills when this ***** picks up a piano and just belts Born This Way. 1
Nintendoes Posted May 27 Posted May 27 I know Gaga is not a dancer but damn the lack of choreo. She was basically just standing there for good 60 minutes. 3 4

Ever since her hip surgery she hasn't been able to move as well as before but she still puts on a solid performance.
Dear Reader Posted May 27 Posted May 27 Not me getting emotional on TEOG Born This Way will always hold a place in my heart. This album is so special 1
