Megan, IMO, is only "indie" atm a) because of the chaos of her last deal and b) she wisely is on a "premium" iteration of indie by way of her Warner partnership. In short, she's still a big star for whom the expectation will be big returns. Plus, I don't think songs like Savage are even super commercial. Her bars were barring, it simply just had the one thing this and a bunch of her other songs from previous eras don't: a discernible, catchy chorus. Like, IMO, they need to make that a priority. It's a bit of a waste of a sample, unfortunately. She's capable of reaching wider audiences, she just needs stronger choruses. Warner needs to hook her up with the right producers for top 40.
