iHype. Posted May 6 Posted May 6 Both of them took it way too far and it feels very creepy and sinister now and beyond a rap beef. They're both making sexual assault and deep subjects a laughing matter and material for a rap beef. This feels like Bum Fights or something. Neither of them are going to look back on how far they went and be proud. Also wanting this stuff to be true for either because you like one person's music more is just beyond weirdo stan rotted brain behavior 8 3 1

At least Drizzy has gone on wax and denied all allegations… why won't Mr Morales clear his name and do the same?

I mean good for him for knowing how to craft better disses. I mean the guy is so boring, no one knows anything about him. But Drake has dedicated his life to hip hop. Helped everyone, even put Kendrick on his tour, and people gassed him up to go against Drake. This whole thing just boils down to jealousy. its giving "my favorite rappers are nicki minaj, azealia banks, doja cat, cardi b" 13

Since Section.80, Kendrick's music has always been more acclaimed than Drake's. Drake dedicated the last 10 years of his life to creating mediocre to bad albums, and this is what happens when people actually listen to Kendrick's and Drake's music side by side. Jealousy? Drake: "To name just Kendrick? That **** made me feel funny. No, in that case, you robbed everybody. We all need text messages!" 1 3

Not only that, but that font is talking like Kenny is some flop, no-name rapper when he's been one of the most popular rappers for a whole decade straight delusional. 4

It's disgusting
Gesamtkunstwerk Posted May 6 Posted May 6 Tbh the most fascinating thing is how overwhelming the support for Kendrick is. People really want to see Drake out and away, literally praying on their knees for his downfall 1
JT55331 Posted May 6 Posted May 6 This feels totally manufactured. We have two rich men fighting - who know the world loves beef. p.s. I hope Dena gets involved (if you know, you know) 2

TROPICUM Posted May 6 Posted May 6 dropped same week as taylor and couldn't even scratch top 10, barely top 15 drops a song with visuals and 3 parts and is still outstreamed by 2 surprise droplets oh drizzy...

Virgos Groove Posted May 6 Posted May 6 Also, I know Drake is the Teflon rapper, but surely this is gonna affect his commercial success, right? He just took the biggest L of his career, picked the absolute worst angle to address pedophilia allegations, and is getting clowned on by everybody. Surely he can't In My Feelings his way out of this one... right?

Surely he can't In My Feelings his way out of this one... right? As @Wicked rightfully pointed out, the optics around him are going to be pretty cursed for a while. But what I see less discourse around is that even within the industry, his image has taken a giant ******* L. One of the ingenious things Kendrick did on NLU is he put the artists that /do/ rely on core hip-hop audience validation on passive blast for allowing Drake to hijack their reputation/cred like Future, 21S, and so on. So though Drake's career is going to be fine, like it always was, his ability to get straight up hip hop hits w/ features is going to be severely limited. If you are someone respected in hip hop you don't want to platform Drake for now and you DEFINITELY don't wanna risk him shading Kendrick on your record ddd; 5 mins after that track is finished in the studio K will have your family info laid out 10

But like, his ways were known and these clips been there on the web forever. None of these allegations are brand new. So the people who knew and listened to his music regardless will keep tuning in.
