Mornings Posted May 5 Posted May 5 I just love the fact that all of those will have zero consequences in actually public perception of either one. There's too many songs, too much garbage allegations to sort through. It's tedious and annoying and both of their egos are too inflated to care. 2

I'm not sure there was any evidence that Kendrick supports R Kelly. The Spotify stance was that Hip Hop artist were being targeted and no other genre were being removed for "hate content" and "hate speech". Based on content you could easily see why he was concerned for hip hop and how loosely this policy was being applied. The policy was ammended and everyone was happy. While I don't think that the R Kelly association holds water the collaboration with Kodak Black deserves further scrutiny. 11
Comedor Posted May 5 Posted May 5 So Kendrick lied about the hidden daughter? Could be that he lied about some other things too. I don't trust him. We stand with Drake. 6
Virgos Groove Posted May 5 Posted May 5 (edited) Even if Drake brings up the Kodak Black thing, it'd just be pot calling the kettle black. Drake has way more skeletons in his closet than Kendrick (many of which he willingly reveals on social media), which is why none of his attacks are making a dent. I mean, the man has a whole human trafficker in his crew. Edited May 5 by Virgos Groove 4
hallucinate Posted May 5 Posted May 5 the way drake is constantly hit with the same "false allegations" throughout the years really makes you think

HarajukuPrincess Posted May 5 Posted May 5 Drake still has the commercial accomplishments (and quantity) but he just has to live with Kendrick being the better rapper, lyricist and artist (quality). 6

It was just a case of "he talks like this cause he can back it up". To be that pressed about it to try to block it from being payed on radio is a bit much. Edited May 5 by BnPac 3

This is essentially the crux of the Drake/Kendrick beef. They've disliked each other and thrown shots for a decade. Drake is insecure because he doesn't feel a natural part of the culture (which is why he runs through every up and coming artist to use their sounds), and he had to prove himself as more than the soft melodic rapper. But that's what made him so likable to pop audiences. Aubrey wants to sit with Jay, Nas, Biggie, Pac, Wayne etc. but people don't give him that naturally. Kendrick has garnered acclaim, sales and the GP and Hip-Hop fans rightfully praise and put him with the greats. That's irritated Drake for years cause he feels like he got the numbers with the greats and he should be there. Kendrick simply just don't like and don't respect him. (Drake so obviously annoyingly seeks validation and we all know he has helps with his lyrics) People forget that when Macklemore beat Kendrick at the Grammys and apologized to Kendrick, Drake was upset cause he felt like he should have apologized to everybody in the category (NWTS was there) and not just Kendrick. 😭 18 5
