FlyOnTheWall Posted May 3 Posted May 3 Yes. Also, flowers is literally part of the album so there's no reason to separate the two from each other
Khal Posted May 3 Posted May 3 Hard to describe an album as "successful" when everything successful about it was centred around one song. Literally, not even any of the other singles were relevant. 1
Bones Posted May 3 Posted May 3 First of all it was the first album that made me fall in love with her voice it has gotten even deeper and scratchier and there's no love stronger than that 😭😭😭
byzantium Posted May 3 Posted May 3 For an artist like Miley it was a success. However if Beyonce, Taylor, Olivia, or even Billie pulled those number, it would be considered a major flop.
Rev8 Posted May 3 Posted May 3 ATRL is always hard on eras who are not exceeding in everything. Is it an improvement from her previous album, success-wise? Yes. Did it have an impact on the year of its release. Yes. Some could say that it was carried by 1 song, but looking at industry stats - the era still did well enough to Not be called a flop. Not even an underperformance. And I get the critique towards her, since she doesn't have the biggest fanbase here and ATRL doesn't love everything she releases. (like some other fanbases, who can successfully defend dull albums) 1 1
ScorpiosGroove Posted May 3 Posted May 3 asking this again every few months won't change the fact that the answer is still no 2
ariananext Posted May 3 Posted May 3 For her standards, sure. She hadn't had a successful album in over a decade. If you compare it to other A-listers' albums, no.
