She set herself up a little with this one I can't lie

3/10 is unserious though :coffee2:

She set herself up by claiming it was psychedelic and rave/Britpop/Massive Attack inspired, I fear

All those reviews, and I still need to listen to it...

Yeah, I was expecting at least some trip-hop since she mentioned MA and Portishead but we got the furthest thing from it.

It's an okay album, 6 - 6.5 at most for me personally.

She's not buying reviews like others :coffee:

I did say that P4K going under felt like a death knell for poptimism…

If anything, some of those questionable reviews prove that she doesn't pay critics for positive reviews unlike some other girlies. Either way, they're free to drag her for describing the album as something it's not, but handing out a 3/10 for a perfectly serviceable pop album is just deeply unserious. Especially considering the same publication gave TTPD an 8/10. :rip:

Oh here we go :rip: the moment y'all wait for with every successful pop girl. To think booking a therapy session is a viable option and yet y'all still insist on praying on the downfall of wealthy, famous women :ryan3: Dua just foretold this album (very inaccurately, mind you), which artists should refrain from, and it backfired.

Taylor started poptism with 1989 and ended it with TTPD

It's consistent, and has minimal filler. I'd give it an 8

1989 helped re-starting Poptimism in 2014 and TTPD killed it a decade later in 2024. :clap3:

Poptism this and that. It's panned because it's a bad album, period :cm:

Ariana and Bey still got critical acclaimed. Even Tyla
