Many men in music have always been celebrated for being jack of all trades. The likes of Jay z, Kanye West , Diddy, Dr Dre are/were admired by the society  because of how they are able to build an empire outside of music. Same thing as the likes of Elon, Mark, and other billionaires with multiple companies under their name.

 

It is really nice to see the pop girls that continue to push the boundaries too, showing that women can also be successful at many things at the same time. 

This is an appropriate time to invoke the internet debate rule of "Criticising one thing does not mean you are approving of all other things." This forum primarily discusses pop girls so I centered the topic around that. Honestly I think that "evil capitAliSt!!!" attack is lame and support artists branding their name as its impossible for an artist to be financially comfortable from music alone (if your name isn't Taylor Alison Swift).

All of them are criticized for this though. For Gaga, even her stans criticize her for her clearly overly capitalist ventures and change. If anything, what is different is the lack of more swifities calling out Taylor's shenanigans
