Jay07
Oops is way more solid as an album beyond the singles. I have no clue about streams and such and I kind of don't care.
americanshameless
Oops is an ALBUM and a very well sequenced one. The other is a singles collection (great singles though) Edited April 27 by americanshameless 1 2

dirrtydiana
Oops is the bigger album uh hellooo diamond and over 20M copies sold pure teenage has more smash hits and I can see how some might prefer it sonically i would say td is Katy's bomt but even so, oops still has higher highs and an iconic performance 1

brazil
Oops released 24 years ago, TD released 14 years ago, yet we're here comparing the two. I guess Oops clears 2
Rev8
OIDIA is a pop perfection of back then, like how 1989 and TD is seen for their time there wasn't much push put into its singles, so TD obviously wins but the album and videos rival and do even better than the later in a lot of cases so it's Oops, especially when OIDIA is the reason why TD exists

Aethereal
Teenage Dream will end up being more successful in terms of units. I think it was 9x platinum in 2020. I think it will accumulate enough units to pass ODIA someday. ODIA was 10.2M with club sales and I think it is at 10.5 with TEA. Physical singles and streams will probably push it slightly above 11M units. Teenage Dream is probably at 10M units by now.

OT: oops is indeed iconic, but in terms of overall success and hits, TD wins. Bomt is bigger than TD though. But singles-wise, TD still comes on top. You need to take total units into account. Not just pure sales, it's not 2005 anymore.

Batsy Armada
Oops! for all. There was literal pandemonium surrounding Britney during and throughout that album release. It was one of the most exciting and iconic moments in pop. Teenage Dream is nothing to scoff at, by any means, but definitely Britney with Oops!
