Mariah4life Posted June 14, 2024 Posted June 14, 2024 This is not the type of music I usually listen to but Insomnia is the best song on the album

mrpartyrocker Posted June 14, 2024 Posted June 14, 2024 All yours is up there in the same bucket with needed me and I need to know! Slay me mama the first part is such a slay, one of the best debut albums I've heard in a loooong time! Hope she gets her flowers grammys and the hits she deserves 2
sleepevaded Posted June 14, 2024 Posted June 14, 2024 Little Secrets would fit perfectly on "Talk That Talk" whew. what a fun surprise that track was! 1 1
Mke1979 Posted June 14, 2024 Posted June 14, 2024 If Candy Paint isn't a radio hit from this album, then nothing will I fear. I think this would have been a great 2nd album to experiment with but still feel a more pop sounding with R&B infused would have been better as a long awaited debut. 1
maaricle Posted June 14, 2024 Posted June 14, 2024 (edited) What a DEBUT I'm on my third listen and I am still so OVERWHELMED As someone who has followed her career (with all the accompanying trauma) since X factor, part of me still hasn't fully processed that this is real Production? Sublime, sleek. Artistry? Self-possessed, specific. Dare I say, inventive? She balances the sonic bombast in her portrayal of her southern roots with a more intimate, experimental blend of pop and r&b that could only come from her. Her unique signature. Cohesively her. I do have some critiques from a songwriting perspective (I was left craving more diversity in scope and subject matter because I know she has so much more to say beyond love and romantic relationships) but overall…. Excellence was served HOUSTON RAISED, NOLA BORN, R&B POP STAR DIVA ✨ Edited June 14, 2024 by maaricle 1
Crank_It_Up Posted June 14, 2024 Posted June 14, 2024 I've already listened to the album three times. It's just so good. But…for the love of God, why did they go with 1:59 as the "lead"? I don't care if it's because of the Gunna feature but…Everything else would've been a better representation of the album and while 1:59 is still really good, simply pales in comparison.
toxicgenie Posted June 14, 2024 Posted June 14, 2024 Wow, lots of good impressions! i'm excited to listen to the album today.
Acuminatus Posted June 14, 2024 Posted June 14, 2024 Heard a few songs, and it is solid! If only she released this when there was more hype around her, but better late than never! 1
duadududt Posted June 14, 2024 Posted June 14, 2024 second listen and insomnia is definitely my fav I'm so sorry for doubting you Normani, you did that 1
SchmoodRing Posted June 14, 2024 Posted June 14, 2024 any more singles or videos they plan on pushing? if i were her team i'd shamelessly tack her droplets on the deluxe. what are the odds of her touring and does she still have a deal with rca?

KatyPrismSpirit Posted June 14, 2024 Posted June 14, 2024 Reviews so far: - The Guardian 3/5 - NME 4/5 - Independent 3/5
The Prophecy Posted June 14, 2024 Posted June 14, 2024 After several more listens, I cannot get over the immaculate production, adlibs and melodies. Honestly, her vocal growth is amazing. She IS undoubtedly one of the best vocalists today. Other than her impressive range, her sultry tone, and delivery on certain tracks distinguish her from peers like Chloe, Sabrina, and Tinashe, giving her songs a distinct edge. Congratulations Normani, you have delivered an exceptional body of work. My trinity 1. All Yours 2. Insomnia 3. Little Secrets 2
dream03 Posted June 14, 2024 Posted June 14, 2024 She ate and then devoured some more. Gathered ATRL and Twitter once again!!!
