Bussea Posted April 22 Posted April 22 I thought this would be the last we heard of her tbh this sounded like such a novelty hit 1
Navyboy20 Posted April 22 Posted April 22 Rihanna is the best example of this. The way even her label had no faith in her in the beginning 6 1
Popular Post Erreur2 La Nature Posted April 22 Popular Post Posted April 22 I thought Normani would be a one hit wonder but she's actually a zero hit wonder 35

Bloodflowers. Posted April 22 Posted April 22 Sheryl Crow Everybody wrote her off after All I Wanna Do, but she came back swinging with If It Makes You Happy with her next album 2
Great808 Posted April 22 Posted April 22 Meghan Trainor. I feel like ppl really don't realize how big that first era was. Even Ari struggled getting an era as big as Title for several albums into her career. 7 2
jezebelvictoria Posted April 22 Posted April 22 Spice Girls. 'Wannabe' had all the makings of being an only hit. 1

I remember hearing this on Music Choice in middle school and thought it was just a throwaway trashy party bop by some faceless singer I legit was surprised when i saw a girl in my class singing it the next day and it was becoming a hit
Welovetrouble Posted April 22 Posted April 22 The first time I saw the Pon de replay video I genuinely thought that would be the last time we'd hear from rihanna and I'm glad she proved me wrong 1

ithinkheknowsoutsold Posted April 22 Posted April 22 I remember back in '87 when I first saw Kylie in the video for the Loco-Motion and thought there was no way this girl would be able to beat the novelty of this hit, but she proved me wrong again and again. 3 1
Gladiator Posted April 22 Posted April 22 (edited) My first impression of Kesha was she would be a one hit wonder. I thought Tik Tok was a come and go song and Kesha would disappear after her first album cycle. I changed my opinion with Warrior. I played the **** out of that album... but oh the artisté she turned into with her last few records. Was happy to be wrong. Edited April 22 by Gladiator 2

glitch Posted April 22 Posted April 22 Jason Derulo. Whatcha Say could've easily been another Iyaz - Replay situation
MusicLoverDude Posted April 22 Posted April 22 Ava Max - Sweet But Psycho seemed it would be her only hit stateside but Kings & Queens happened. Cascada - Everytime We Touch was their only top 40 hit for 3 years and then Evacuate the Dancefloor happened Paramore - for a year it seemed like Misery Business would be their only top 40 crossover but they collected a few more as they evolved.
