The reason why Taylor is the biggest pop star (consequently the most discussed) is exactly because she's vanilla, safe, and 'inoffensive'. Some of the lyrics I have read from this album are Witness level. If someone like Katy had written them, she'd have been dragged to hell and back

Taylor Swift gets hyped up as this great songwriter but stay writing cringy ****. Folk/Ever was a great start to Taylor Swift making more mature music but regressed with Midnights and now released a boring ass album. Taylor Swift image is getting tired at this point. The songwriting and music was saving her from attacks on her being a horrible vocalist and performer but now since the music is mid people are kinda dragging her. 3

It is completely natural that some people will reject this, because they perceive that Taylor Swift content is being pushed onto them. And it's completely natural that by using aggresive marketing techniques, you're going to piss off some people. It has nothing to do with her music being divisive or her art in general. 2 1

Fast forward two decades later and Taylor's boarding her 4th private flight of the week while her mostly middle class fandom feverishly types away on their lunch breaks defending Taylor's latest marketing push all while the notification of their $350 bill for all the vinyl variants hits their inbox. The only thing divisive here is her fandom, their insane behaviour over the past decade and their insistence that Taylor comes out on top in every scenario. To her fans she's god, but I promise you to the rest of the world she's considered more famous than talented. 1 1

Winning AOTY 4x and constantly being made out to be this genius level talent makes ppl wanna check out the product. And its lacking. Tbh, she never deserved the accolades. The music reads like a Burn book and always has. Fearless and 1989 are twee basic betty albums. Cant comment on the other one cuz never listened. Midnights was mid and corny even GUTS was better. And this last ish was tragic. Yalls sis started believing the hype. And she may be insane going by that Kim K song. 1 1
