Popular Post FolkLover1989 Posted April 22 Popular Post Posted April 22 Taylor is considered safe and vanilla artist by stan community But the reality is totally different 2 more big mpgs released super acclaimed album this year apparently, but both never came closer to this level of discourse. The album is divisive, getting criticism some genuine some made up backlash. It has been moat discussed media since it came out and already biggest highlight of 2024 Isn't this the actual impact that atrl talks about? Apparently GP hates the album but it's having great stability with such a big debut. It's coming for 2.5m+ sales in 2024. THIS IS HER 11TH ALBUM. For someone who was supposed to bw forgotten, why is she running circles around career of most artist ever. Discuss 3 4 8

Cause it's far from safest but that's conversation for later As always , Taylor releases stick for years. They are nor just 1 week impact thing 3 1
Popular Post Kimi Posted April 22 Popular Post Posted April 22 cause shes super popular, like mcdonalds but with a fanbase thats sending death threats to anyone saying it makes you fat 24 8
alfonso12 Posted April 22 Posted April 22 She is safe an vainilla but still, she's the biggest music star in the world so ofc her work is going to generate a lot of discussions. 1
Popular Post Shelter Posted April 22 Popular Post Posted April 22 The reason she is being discussed is because the output doesn't match the hype. That doesn't make her any less vanilla. 33 3
Bussea Posted April 22 Posted April 22 (edited) because when the OTH talks about their own faves for once no one cares Edited April 22 by BLΔCKP!NK 1 7
Popular Post Bimbo Posted April 22 Popular Post Posted April 22 Because when there's a multitude yelling at you that she's the best songwriter of our generation with those lyrics, people are gonna react and smack the lies out of them. Her and her stans' behavior is the cause of any "discourse", not the music. No one's out there saying "this album was too experimental for me" 22 3 2
Bonicap Posted April 22 Posted April 22 Because they are trying to cope with the unfathomable success they want for their favourite artists. I hope it stays like this for many years and she doesn't fade into irrelevancy like 95% of the artists discussed here but nowhere else. 5 2 1
Feanor Posted April 22 Posted April 22 It's interesting, isn't it? The way even her Taylor's Versions cause discourse as if they are brand new albums, and then when she does actually drop a brand new studio album, everyone wants to chime in. Taylor is simply our most controversial pop figure of the past 10 years or so. No one is causing as much discussion as her. 6
Archetype Posted April 22 Posted April 22 Taylor is extremely boring and interesting at the same time. I don't know how else to put it. On one hand, she is the most relatable superstar out there when she's not touring the planet. On the other hand, she's the most famous person alive and her relationships are obsessively chronicled. People love that they can see elements of themselves in her, but magnified. She is slowly growing up and starting to not give a f*ck, which I like, but she's much older than me, and I came to that same realization 10 years ago, so... she's just interesting to watch despite being boring. Make it make sense for me, please. 2
I Melt Away Posted April 22 Posted April 22 She is "vanilla" but she is still the biggest artist of today and one of the biggest of all time. Other "vanilla" artists like Ed Sheeran have never reached the height of Taylor. People will always discuss Taylor more regardless of her output. 1

After all, the artists we discuss and admire here are all commercial artists. We are talking about beyonce and gaga, not about mozart 3 1

TYMPS Posted April 22 Posted April 22 LOL it is really dire for y'all, isn't it, all of these threads I HOPE will allow you to cope through this mess of a dissertation (I mean album) rollout She is being heavily discussed because she is very popular…simple as. And the quality is obviously lacking with this release. I mean, there is no correlation b/t popularity and artistic integrity…in fact, if most people like something, maybe it's not that good? Hahaha!! Y'all are so kardashian-brain-fried you think any discussion or publicity means you won something. But ain't nobody seeking deep insights on new or urgent topics from Taylor Allison, most especially on THIS album. 1 6
kellebrity98 Posted April 22 Posted April 22 (edited) I feel like these days everyone want every artist to renew themselves, do something new, try new genre, new producer, new videos, be sexier, be controversial, be polite etc. and i just hate this. the reason i am a swiftie is that she's relatable, her songs fit in my daily life and not many artists do that but why would she change anything? her fan base is gigantic and for a reason, cause when you listen to her music you can't RELATE to them. 4Real Posted April 22 Posted April 22 You really should stay quiet, stream the new album (that I suppose you like?) and stop getting your fave dragged 2 2

There's not 1 artist discussed on this site that is some misunderstood artistic genius. Nobody discussed here truly goes against the grain or pushes boundaries as far as some of you like to pretend they do. These are POP stars. Don't act all high & mighty like Swifties lack your sophisticated palette. Try rubbing elbows with snooty folks at the opera if you're such an intellectual. It's getting SO weird, jfc. Popular's only a bad thing when it's your fav that's unpopular, I guess Edited April 22 by LoveInStereo 1
