Wait, how is this bad, am I missing something?

Just an artist appreciating positive reviews for her new work. How is that tacky or petty? 😂

It's not, and she does it every single era :rip:

Is the album even getting bad reviews? Besides the Paste review, the rest are fine and she's got some 100s lol.

Ignore them. Somebody just lacks media literacy with that reposting some dumb tweets.

The album is considered to have "universal acclaim" so it's not a mixed response.

She also does this every era. It's not a bad thing to be proud of the things you create, especially when she's so much more involved in the process than 99% of pop stars.

This was done before the P4K review and what's wrong with doing that? She's not the first pop girl nor the last one to do it.

She did the same thing for Lover. Doesn't really seem threadworthy imo :rip:

I'm pretty sure she (and many others) thank for the positive reviews every era. And I think it might be for the best that this is where she directs her fans' energy

Not really. There's like one other borderline-negative review and then the Pitchfork one was mediocre. It's still mostly positive and will end somewhere around 85 on Metacritic. This is something she does every album cycle and it has nothing to do with "mixed" reception. ATRL is just having one of those weeks.

When you get positive feedback at work, it's typically public right? In a work meeting, exceptional performances are often met with community praise. Whereas negative feedback is often addressed individually, so as to not shame the person or discourage them from continuing to hone their craft. This is basic human sociology.
