Does anyone beside OTH really care about P4K's review?

TTPD is my album of the year. Why would I care about their criticism? It feels to me only bored Taylor haters and Beyoncé fans do…

Well, you made this thread obviously answered your question, maybe not even OTH would care this much like delusional Swifties.

The fact that site gave a higher score to the sound pollution that Camila's Familia & Bjork's Homogenic are should tell you everything that needs to be known about the critics' taste in music :cm:

So no, no one should really care about what they say… Taste is subjective after all

I mean, you made a thread about it so...

And, yes, some of us do care about reviews not because they're a superior voice, but because it's fun to interact with different perspectives on music and they can be a great introduction to new artists/projects.

Finally someone decided not to bow down to this woman - all great reviews for this "music" are written to avoid attacks of psychoSwifties.

Bland, mediocre, flavourless.

It's refreshing to see critics who do not succumb to online terrorists that some Swifties are nowadays.

i think TTPD has had some not great reviews cos it's not a big move fwd and that's a fair criticism (personally i like it anyway).

that said, i'm suspicious when anything i like gets more than 6.5 on p4k, means i'm doing something wrong

Why do even those loosers care anout those fans when they review?? What can they do? Tweet sht about it?

that albums lyricism deserved to be bashed so hard i can't believe that she even got a 6 out of 10.

So...what exactly prevents one from flipping this question to "does anyone beside the swifties really like the album?"

Tbh I just hope some of the mixed/negative reviews spur her on to making better music and switching up her sound a bit. Give us another melodic pop album or go explore a completely different genre, because Midnights and TTPD are just too beige for me unfortunately.

So imo we should all care about the review and hope that it pushes her to be at her best again.

Because that question has a clear and definitive answer that can be observed through what the public is listening to.

OT: Critics have fallen off in general, but Pitchfork still gets a lot of attention relatively speaking.

You shouldn't have to care if you're a fan but it is pretty telling that Pitchfork doesn't bow down to threats from Swifties like RS would. This album has been very poorly received by honest critics and by music fans (not just pop music fans, that's the difference). That does paint a picture about how supposedly ''good'' this album actually is if you take Spotify numbers out of it.

shut the f up dua stan, calling an 84 score poorly received is brave from you

It couldn't be any more obvious :rip:

So many people claim they couldn't care less about what Pitchfork says in their music reviews. Yet, here we are, with certain fanbases eagerly awaiting a Pitchfork review, knowing damn well Taylor will never be roasted as brutally as some of their faves. Let's face it, Taylor's weakest writing effort still outshines the supposed self-written albums or songs released by some of your favourites by a mile.
