It's not even a contest with Madonna in the cards. No offense I LOVE LOVE LOVE Taylor and Mariah is honestly one of if not the greatest vocalist alive on top of being a tremendous music writer but it's just not comparable.

 

Madonna's artistic evolution, risks, visual and sonic experimentation while all cohesively being undeniably and intrinsically Madonna... The way she paved the road for everybody else, breaking taboos, starting conversations. The ***** was BASED and discussing uncomfortable topics on primetime tv when noone else was. She was politically active and aware of the shifting culture and paradigms for 40 years in a way noone else has since. Always presenting a question for the established state of mind and what was accepted.

 

She defined what an era is, invented the modern pop concert. The fact her last couple of albums didnt match her old glories doesnt erase her legacy. ***** was truly fearless.

Honestly a revolutionary figure in culture and people still refuse to give her her flowers and it makes me angry that one day she will be gone and all these fake hoes will cry and try to save face and proclaim what we have been known for 20 years and we'll have to hear how they've always loved her and respected her when they were the ones zoomin in on her hands obsessively, comparing her streaming stats, and dragging her antics trying to prove a shitty point on a stupid twitter stanwar or a dumb atrl thread for a couple of likes from 13 year olds
