Is this the lowest score she has ever received from a critic?

It might be? Mid got a 48 and that's the lowest I could name off the top of my head

That Paste review is lowkey bad journalism, but the same could be said about the endless "instant classic!!1!", "100%", "5 stars!!1!" reviews so... it evens out, I guess

:suburban:

No it isn't?

1.5/5

not even out with 4-5 stars which most of them gets anyway. That's the harshest I've ever seen to anybody.

My thoughts exactly. This just speaks to the awful state music journalism is in. It is either **** sucking 100s or hate circle-jerking red scores.

Bye. I'm sure there are other 84 things you could do instead.

They're already switching gears and trying to frame this excellent review as "bad journalism" - if they had bothered to even read the piece they would know that the writer holds Taylor's work in high regard, and is disappointed in an apparent slip in quality and perspective that is being perpetuated by devout worship from fans and media.

It's LITERALLY MAGA/Elon Musk fanatical obsession, it's the exact same sh*t. Worshipping a billionaire and calling her a god, all while swiftly silencing or dogpiling anyone who says otherwise.

Sis this isn't even the worst review of the main pop girls. Gaga got a ZERO for BTW :deadbanana4:

But is it worse that Rob Sheffield who is writing a book on Taylor Swift giving 5/5 for Rolling Stone, when he has a vested interested in Taylor remaining popular, successful and acclaimed during his book launch?

Rob is just a pop gay. He is usually very kind to all the girls, even the panned ones :rip:
