Jay07 Posted April 22 Posted April 22 Funny how Rob Sheffield trying to hawk his book via his review was fine but now that they got hit with the 0.5, journalism is dead. I believe I was told Karma is a cat. 2 8

duybeeGAshantiGA Posted April 22 Posted April 22 (edited) I don't think I have ever seen an album that has this huge of a rảnge in scores. Yeah sure albums like BTW or BTD had 1 or 2 pretentious and obnoxious critics giving them a 0 just out of spite and stupidity, but with this album it's completely different, like critics are divided into 2 distinctive groups. Agreed. One being the ones who have actually listened to the album and the others being the ones who had their reviews ready before they even listened to any of the songs You know whos who

Cheers Posted April 22 Posted April 22 I miss the days when 70's were considered high for an album. Critics have gotten WAY too safe with certain artists. 3

Instead, Taylor opts for interchangeable melodies that never really threaten to take attention away from the lyrics, which function more as tabloid clarification than earnest poetry. They made several points here, you can count proper hooks on the album on one hand and even then you'll have few fingers unused. 2
