Jjang Posted April 17 Posted April 17 this is not a diss to ari cause she's my girl. but this is crazy could she surpass CC next week before Taylor Hurricane? 1
Fleahive Posted April 17 Posted April 17 (edited) Not surprising. Sza is gen z's 2nd fave girl, she just released another TikTok viral song which makes them revisit SOS even more than usual, + eternal sunshine sadly sucked Edited April 17 by Fleahive 2 8
ThousandMiles Posted April 17 Posted April 17 SOS is one of the biggest albums of the 2020's, why would that be surprising? 11
Twizzy Posted April 17 Posted April 17 Not surprising because SOS is just that organic, imagine if there was a deluxe and a proper follow-up single But I do think Eternal Sunshine's rank is what's surprising here considering its charting strongly across all metrics, I thought it would hold within the top 5 a little longer. They're not calculating something right I fear..
HarajukuPrincess Posted April 17 Posted April 17 Both are great albums, and SOS has cemented itself as a classic of this decade/generation. 1
VilsonMuqa Posted April 17 Posted April 17 No SOS is one of the biggest & most impactful albums of the last 20years
Tm4074 Posted April 17 Posted April 17 Nope SOS has outlasted almost every album that was released after it.
OrgVisual Posted April 17 Posted April 17 It's a timeless record that will stay around for a looonngggg time Deserved to win AOTY 2

The same voters that made 'RED' lose also deemed 'SOS' unworthy of an AOTY win. If 'RED' rightfully lost, then so did SZA.

But no one except Little Swifties think that Red deserved to win, while most music fans agree that SZA was snubbed. Y'all also cry about being snubbed in other categories despite Taylor already winning more trophies than she deserves. So there's no need to be insecure and be mad when people praise SZA
Blue Monday Posted April 18 Posted April 18 (edited) Not really because as others have mentioned SOS has been smashing since it was released, but ES has returned to being the most consumed album on Spotify and is doing extremely well in its own right. No Witness eras in sight! Edited April 18 by Blue Monday

Should we bring in the public's opinion too? The actual musicians voting for the Grammys are the only ones that matter, and they did not deem 'SOS' worthy of AOTY, just like they didn't with 'RED'.

Well it's not going to stop us from saying that SOS was snubbed. If that is making swifties upset, you're going to be upset for a long long time
