Achilles. Posted April 16 Posted April 16 The album Midnights would have been before Jack got his hands on it… I love his work but this one time he really deserves the lashings… 2

That was the concept before she changed direction with Jack. As per Aaron: Personally The Great War and Hits Different are some of my favorites. I would not mind an album with that sound.
illicit affairs Posted April 16 Posted April 16 I don't know why we're dissing Midnights. Midnights is a masterpiece. 4

I don't know why but since I read this information I'm being delusional thinking that this album might sound what midnights was originally planned (“2 years in the making”) and she gave us WCS/everything else as a preview on the 3 am 2
Donquizote Posted April 16 Posted April 16 Midnight is one of her worst albums. It's up there with Loser and Reputa 1 3

Donquizote Posted April 16 Posted April 16 Folklore, Red, 1989 and SN are her best works me thinks. I have high hope for Poets to make her redeem herself Midnight
Donquizote Posted April 16 Posted April 16 Ready for "My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys" to be one of her best songs in her entire discography 2
Donquizote Posted April 16 Posted April 16 Who's Afraid of Little Old Me? sounds like a reference to Virginia Woolf
Velvet Night Posted April 16 Posted April 16 Just saw the writing credits and I happy with them. It's quite a good mix of Antonoff and Dessner, and two solo written songs. I have a feeling that Aaron will be the producer on most of those bonus tracks. Jack has produced some of my favourite songs ever, not just from Taylor, but I'm glad to see it's not overwhelmingly produced by him. I'm getting really excited for this album now! 3

TS12 - ? I think Taylor is taking her 5th and 6th AOTY at the Grammys, which would form an upside down capital letter 'T' Edited April 16 by Migs30283
mael Posted April 16 Posted April 16 I need 20 Augustines and by that I mean a perfect marriage of synths and real instruments that are given time to BREATHE and PAINT an atmosphere for us. MIDnights was just Her yapping over some tired beats the whole time. 2
folkloreking Posted April 16 Posted April 16 folklord day and y'all babbling about the same tired Midnights lashings. I guess the chicken will be out before / on its day so no one's gonna care at that point.
Donquizote Posted April 16 Posted April 16 Pray for your taste if you think Midnights is groundbreaking 1
Kern Posted April 16 Posted April 16 I remember opening Instagram and seeing Folklore pics appear... and then the announcement. And you could see just by the cover art that this is going to be one of her best albums. And Cardigan was such a good introduction to the era... We were all gagged. 1

Let the lashings come early 1
Donquizote Posted April 16 Posted April 16 The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived Is this a reference to this photo? 3
Rence Posted April 16 Posted April 16 Imagine if 3AM didn't exist… I would have been stuck listening to Maroon, Yoko Ono, and Midnight Rain on repeat until the next album release 2
mael Posted April 16 Posted April 16 folklore was an immaculate album.... for the CRITICS, it was all very good, but her lil sister just did it better. HOEWEVER August remains THAT girl between folklore and evermore. Ms Ivy comes close, but alas....

But I want it to be on Thursday, though I guess it'd be comically fitting for this to happen on evergod day and overshadow.
