Everyperfectsummer Posted April 15 Posted April 15 Now that we finally have the credits I hereby conduct the chicken to be served tomorrow 1
State of Grace. Posted April 15 Posted April 15 Anyways So Long London and But Daddy I Love him are gonna be a career defining 1-2 PUNCH based on those credits, so there's that 2

TaylenaStan Posted April 15 Posted April 15 When i press play on the l*ak and the first thing i hear is a classic Hack synth 9
VeniceBeach Posted April 15 Posted April 15 Let's hope those two self-written tracks are produced by Aaron cuz 2

Certain users don't like Jack and don't even have the musical vocabulary to criticize him properly. I just can't take Jack haters seriously on here when they blamed him for songs on reputation and Lover that he didn't even do. Oh and for Only the Young as well. 3

scottstreet Posted April 15 Posted April 15 (edited) I used to be an OJH until I realized his production style for other artists is very versatile. Look at Florence, St. Vincent, Taylor, etc. So whatever he produced for Taylor is because she wanted it to sound the way it does. And while I still love Aaron, his production for other people sound like folklore rejects (cof cof Gracie Abrams). My dream was for it to have different producers than the usual, but if it's gotta be the same ones, I'm happy it's the way it is now. Edited April 15 by scottstreet 1

wastedpotential Posted April 15 Posted April 15 4 minutes ago, Cruel Summer said: If we all recall that Jack can, in fact, do more than synth pop - see Lana's NFR! album for example - this track list with these two producers both decently involved is really kinda giving Evermore I mean I think we were going to be thinking this regardless but I'm glad you've said it 1
Cruel Summer Posted April 15 Posted April 15 2 minutes ago, State of Grace. said: The problem isn't Jack himself though, at least to me. He produced Ocean Blvd which is one of my favorite albums of the decade. But his work with Tay hasn't been exciting lately and I strongly believe they need a break from each other. A&W's production is...godly. Let's hope he puts some of that talentussy here. I think that's fair, but I think this is the album that will really test whether that's true. I can see for the most part why Midnights sounded how it did in order to relaunch her pop superstar platform when coming out of the pandemic. If this album just sounds the same as that one, I can agree to them both needing to work with others for a while, because I would understand that a lot less (and wouldn't want to handwave it with something like "well now she's at the peak that Midnights set up so of course pure pop is the right path yet again”). I'm optimistic that this whole album will be a little more organic-sounding than Midnights and much of Lover, and that it will hopefully break a little bit of new ground for Taylor x Jack collaborations. 2

If the sound is more Hits Different it will be one of her best and i will never stop playing it. I'm currently on play 500 of a Hits Different sounding song. Edited April 15 by selena_lavigne
Timeless Posted April 15 Posted April 15 I cannot believe Aaron only has 5 songs.........out of 16.....................................................this was worst case scenario.............................................................. 6
1989 Posted April 15 Posted April 15 My hopes for Clara Bow are ridiculously high, I really need to contain them 1

I think this really illustrates how a lot of the things people don't like about her work with certain producers comes down to her - as in, she's accountable for it, in the end. That's why I understand if people really want Jack to be removed from her work for a while if this album retreads the same ground as they usually do together.
