At LEAST it's good at what it's trying to be — basic pop bangers & pop radio smashes. Loser couldn't even do its job well :ahh:

You are absolutely RIGHT. :clap3:

I really need the exciting things ahead to start now.

Billboards around the world are NOT exciting.

Give me new pictures if you're not giving a snippet. :WAP:

I decided that I want an album of the last time / exile / cardigod / safe & sound / state of grace. Actually I don't know what I want. I just want TTPD to completely overwhelm me; like how I felt on my first listen to RED, 1989 and folklore. I want that magic feeling back. Hoping this becomes the best thing she's ever ever done in her career. We are just 5 days away from it! Soooo crazy.

August is not even better than Timeless, a vault track.

Why did we have Max haters again?

What did he do other than great pop music with Taylor?

Im just gonna say i agree with pitchfork when they said lover is 5 bad songs away from being better than 1989.

Without them Lover IS Taylor's best pop album.

So let's all live in the good timeline and ignore miss americana, me!, yntcd, london boy and the archer

Timeless has 3 fans in the world and of them is you .

Saying It's a forgettable song, and Indeed forgotten after a week, It's a compliment.

y'all need to stop comparing random songs for the sake of comparing producers. Timeless has nothing to do with august and they're both 10/10, I don't know what else to tell you.

Make that four to match your downvotes.

Oop. My point was it's both Jack Antonoff sings yearning for a lost love.

One is new and the other probably had Nathan's stems inspiring it.

can i just say that one of the best things about the swiftie community is all the infighting :ahh:

The Man is actually a decent song when you don't approach it as a political statement/anthem/whatever Taylor wanted it to be, but as a normal Taylor track written from her own perspective and nobody else's. You can drag the white feminism all you want but it still is informed by her own experience-- despite her being white and fabulously rich, even to this day people still drag her for only writing about her exes despite that having been disproved on her first album:coffee2:

The same cannot be said for her other "political anthems" unfortunately. From YNTCD's comparison of OTHs to homophobes to Only The Young's "big bad man and his big bad clan" which belongs more in r/theleftcantmeme, and MAATHP's literally juvenile metaphors... oh it was BAD for her (and us)

Well we all have very different opinions (thanks to Taylor's very large and diverse catalogue) and we all think that repeating them over and over and over again will make everyone else agree with us.

That's why, in 2024, we're still in a Lover vs Reputation era for example. And I can guarantee people will still be arguing about Max vs Jack for the next 10-15 years.

Right because let's be honest, 98% of 1989 stans love 1989 for what it is because of Max Martin & Shellback :ryan3:

Loser kinda gives me that british indie pop vibes if you take away all of the bombastic obnoxious singles

You know what I mean? Death By A Thousand Cuts, Cornelia Street, Paper Rings etc.

Happy LOVER (aka WINNER) day, everyone.

200.gif?cid=ecf05e47663popo7o1n7u83cujpr

MC Score -79 (Her most acclaimed at its moment of release)

200.gif?cid=ecf05e47663popo7o1n7u83cujpr

2 # 2 singles 1 # single (which will be hitting Top 10 AGAIN and 2 billion streams) 5 years after its release. Her HIGHEST charting album even after 5 years, residing comfortably in the top 10 (and not Midnights despite it smashing out of the gate)

200.gif?cid=ecf05e47663popo7o1n7u83cujpr

BuuUUUTT buuTTT but wiThOuT CrUEL SuMMEr :isudumblmao::isudumblmao:as if Lover the song does not have more streams than a certain lead single from a certain album

200.gif?cid=ecf05e47663popo7o1n7u83cujpr

An ICONIC opening to an ICONIC TOUR. There's a reason why the movie poster is with her in the Lover part but not the other eras

200.gif?cid=ecf05e47663popo7o1n7u83cujpr

All these plus the 1-2-3-4-5 PUNCHES of ITHK-Miss Americana- Paper Rings- Cornelia Street -  DBATC

TALENT. ACCLAIM. BEAUTY. SUCCESS. Ladies and gentlemen. I REST MY CASE.

I'm really curious WHY?

Did I miss a problematic thing he do? Or is it another civil war between all swifties? :deadbanana2:

I didn't downvote someone says a great pop Song like August, recognized from every music critic as a stand out in Taylor discography, is not "even better as timeless , a song no music critics spent a word to work about in the review, cause It's a generic country song you can find every week in any new country release from the most basic White girl in Arizona.

But they downvototed me :ahh:

It's track 39 on speak now vault Songs they forced me to release cause even Taylor knows It's not even more interesting than how you get the girl :ahh:

Lover causing all this conversation when puta and 1989 were royaly ignored on their day... Oh GODer don't end them like that by being Taylor's most wide ranging, engaging, long-lived album with a number of billion streamed songs which the GP adores and being the backbone of the Eras Tour

The way she takes you from the street, on a hot summer day, inside an antique shop, and then inside the world of photos inside a cardboard box, and she's only beginning.

She takes you further into her soul of lost love. :WAP:

That's just the first verse!

There's a special place in MAGA inbRed hell for Timeless doubters.
