Honestly I think it's kind of a thing that her look in the era you really started to stan kind of defines her as an artist.

Hence why, as a deranged Red Stan turned even-more-deranged Evermore cultist, the TTPD aesthetic is kind of everything for me.

This holds up for me, because yeah I really only got online during the Speak Now tour. I've been blasting Taylor music since like March of 2007, but I wasn't really looking at pictures of her (aside from tabloids in the grocery store line lol) until I got online :suburban:

Oh the housewife era was so fun to live through because it was like a full 180º from where everyone else in pop was, fashion wise :suburban:

I remember people on Twitter would joke about her being the wife of a D-Day soldier and the mother of four children when she'd dress like that :deadbanana2:

I still cannot fathom the fact that this dumb blonde ***** really went on an ERAS tour and snubbed OUR SONG from the setlist. OUR SONG. An absolutely indispensible chapter of the Legend of Taylor Swift. Her very first signature song. A historic classic. One of her most universally beloved songs of all time.

**** her. **** her. **** her.

Someone was pumping delulu gas into the air supply at the 13 Megladons office when she was making set list decisions, I SWEAR. I remember really hoping that one of the surprise slots would be rotating acoustic Reba McEntire track performances because she did Tim McGospel but that dream died fast :gaycat6:

True to a certain extent, but there's also the fact that for her first two eras her looks often sundresses with cowboy boots or giant princess gowns, so even a lot of people who have been listening since those albums probably latched onto Speak Now looks since they were a bit more glamorous and a bit less teenager-playing-dress-up.

But it's also that every era has a signature look or two, and they're not always the ones that she herself promotes as the defining looks of the era.

For me it's:

Debut: black and silver SSN ACM dress

Fearless: LOVE STORY MV (**** YBWM)

Speak Now: purple tour dress

Red: red striped album announcement shirt; 2014 Grammys looks

1989: white crop top + skirt from album announcement; lots of others tbh

rep: LWYMMD zombie lmao

Loser: Time 100 pink gown

folklore: cardigan and granny hair

evermore: Red TV album art outfit rip

Midnights: VMAs album announcement outfit maybe

Hm. Many albums the outfit she wears when she announces it kinda imprints in my brain it seems.

Don't forget to make sure it's Taylor's Version, then put Safe & Sound and Eyes Open at the end - and the original Red and Treacherous demos from the stolen version, too, for good measure

I gave up on my mission to enter the top 4 posters of this thread, it just doesn't align with my mental sanity.

Hey I'm ******* putting all the work :ryan3:

And where are you? :ryan3:

Beloved you aren't even in the top four yet. Maybe if you were trying for that we might actually be closer to 800 :ryan3:

For me, more often than not, it's just a look from the associated photoshoots (so, for Red for example, it's the white collared shirt and black hat, which is also to this day my brain's default "Taylor Swift" image). The Midnights era is an exception, where I picture the Eras Tour opening outfit since it's gotten so much press.

And I'm not even in her top 1,000 listeners on Spotify.  My measly 18,000 + streams isn't enough

I'm failing as a fan more than the variant sales.

I'm honestly kind of scared of the people who make it to the very top of her Spotify listeners. Like I love this woman's music more than I love breathing, and I could never
