I don't know i don't see her to write lyrics about "her empire" or something like that for speak now. Feels too much distant from everything She wrote for the album, including the others vaul tracks. While Red has several songs about fame, Power etc . Not only nothing new but also the lucky One. She's talking about an "empire in a golden age". She's talking about the extreme success of the Fearless era and the fear of a downfall brought by the VMA scandal. It's basically the depressive Long Live.

The Jack Antonoff energy on so many of these track titles too... Oh PTSD isn't touching Her top 5, we have to come to terms with it. I have faith in the Florence song, just because I love Dance Fever. But it might be (vocally) embarrassing if Florence sings too much on the same track. Ugh aging British twinks do not inspire Her best material. She needs to go back to having her heart broken by actresses and models.
Klein Posted April 11 Posted April 11 The first part of Fifteen at the Speak Now World Tour is a treat... When is she going to understand that we don't need anything else than her and a guitar for 5 hours? Save yourself the trouble Blondie 1
Scandalous Posted April 11 Posted April 11 (edited) and lead me up the staircase won't you whisper soft and slow the way we were all so shook in 2010 when our Christian horse girl fav gave us a saucy lyric and proved she DID have a functional ****n*! Edited April 11 by Scandalous

No, the title Castles Crumbling was registered on GEMA in 2010 and has been publicly known since then. The song actually ties into a few other songs on Speak Now. It's probably a response to the same "career ending" backlash that inspired Mean, and it uses similar imagery to Long Live. It's basically Long Live's opposite, really.

Maroon legacy Posted April 11 Posted April 11 The only time her Track 6 was longer than Track 5 was on 1989, but both songs were upbeat (AYHTDWS and Shake It Off) Usually after the depressive track 5 comes easy bop (White Horse -> YBWM, Dear John -> Mean, All Too Well -> 22, The Archer -> ITHK, tolerate it -> nbnc) But if Track 6 is the LONGEST song on TTPD, maybe So Long, London will be not that heavy? Or maybe BDILH have some long instrumental break your thoughs?
