The sunny afternoon of August 13, 2012. Taylor Swift uttered the words "I worked with Max Martin" and something in me DIED that day. honestly listening to WANEGBT for the first time was a bigger jumpscare than ME!, i was not prepared for that after Preach Now

I discovered her existence on a forum, where a Swiftie said in the Rihanna thread that Taylor would block Loud from #1 with Speak Now. I was like "Speak What? Taylor Who?". So I digged a little, and the fans were saying Taylor's best song was Enchanted at the time. I listened to it, LOVED it, but never listened to Taylor again for a while out of spite because I was mad she was going to block LOUD. The next anecdote about my life before I was a Swiftie tomorrow, on Red's day your timeline being split into BS and AS (before Swift)/(after Swift) 2

Achilles. Posted April 11 Posted April 11 Who's old enough to remember when Sparks Fly had different lyrics and more country'd production? She really improved the lyrics a lot with her edits but I still sometimes sing "you say my name for the first time baby and I fall in love in an empty bar.” 2
Klein Posted April 11 Posted April 11 Mean is so bad it's so good. Like she really did start the song saying "please don't be a bully it's not nice" and ended the bridge with "All you are is mean, and a liar, and pathetic, and alone in life"

Like she really did start the song saying "please don't be a bully it's not nice" and ended the bridge with "All you are is mean, and a liar, and pathetic, and alone in life" I've always thought that was part of what made the song so great though. Because everyone in the world gets on their high horse and acts so above it all and then 20 seconds later they're back to slinging mud and talking **** with the rest of them. It's more human than if the whole song had just been goody-two-shoes'd. 1

PoisonedIvy Posted April 11 Posted April 11 I may not agree with the messenger, but that one user is indeed spreading the gospel every time they cite "Taylor's best album reputation.” 1
Klein Posted April 11 Posted April 11 The Story Of Us TV's last chorus just goes so hard. Oh another song for which the OG is never needed anymore
vale9001 Posted April 11 Posted April 11 (edited) imo no one of the vault tracks sets add anything new to the albums, expect for Red. Red vault tracks give more meaning to the album...Red is the quintessential taylor album being the better or not...there is the sound of all her previous 3 albums, there is the pop of the future, there are even hints to the sound of folklmore. Everything is Taylor artistry both in terms of sound, the way she can change sound, her lyrical style is all there. If you have to understand taylor artistry with just one album is red. And red vault tracks make that even clearer...you can add there any break up song she has made in her career and that song feels legitimate in the album, like is its place. Like an infinite Taylor album. Edited April 11 by vale9001 1

Klein Posted April 11 Posted April 11 Never Grow Up is cute but I spend most of the song thinking the next one is Enchanted and I can barely concentrate knowing such a mammoth song is coming soon.

Klein Posted April 11 Posted April 11 This is me praying that This was the very first page Not where the story line ends My thoughts will echo your name Until I see you again These are the words I held back As I was leaving too soon I was enchanted to meet you Please don't be in love with someone else Please don't have somebody waiting on you Please don't be in love with someone else Please don't have somebody waiting on you Mama, all of this for the Fireflies singer

Klein Posted April 11 Posted April 11 The intro to Better Than Revenge just goes so hard, and is such a jumpscare after the beauty and innocence of Enchanted
