I'm very grateful that I went the night that got Maroon. I'll pray for your date. 1
wastedpotential Posted April 11 Posted April 11 Drunken ramblings nnn: Spoiler You know, this is such an unprecedented place for us to be, as a fanbase. For years, we've been told "no Swifties, you will always be the runner up to that statistic. You can want it in secret all you want (though never admit it publicly because others will laugh at you, because it is surely impossible), you can pine for it and scheme up fantastical plans to achieve it, and you will never even come close. No one will come close." And now, with TaylorMania and Swiftism cresting an unfathomable and unprecedented peak, we're still getting the same message of "no Swifties, it's just not happening. Prepare for something a little bit more realistic, sit down, and shut up. No one wants to hear your deluded ideas, go speak to someone about a realignment of expectations" And yet, even with all of the doubters, both external and internal, I think a core tenet of every practitioner of Swiftism is that little kernel of hope in the pit of your stomach that believes that maybe, one day, when the stars align, that will happen, but any time you begin to entertain the thought, the rational side of your mind immediately laughs it off as an impossibility, and your attention is needed elsewhere. Well, poor Swiftie, I think that day when the stars will align has come. I've been mumbling it for a month now to limited response and hasty scorn, and so I guess this is a coming out of sorts, but I wholeheartedly believe that record, that undefeatable record, that one record that would stand for the rest of time because it just seemed so impossible to even get close (and to be fair to the doubters, no one has gotten anywhere close), is within our grasp. It might take a push and a healthy dose of teamwork, but we have been miracle workers before, and I know that now is no different. That kernel of hope in the pit of your stomach must spark to life and become a roaring fire of ambition, and we must utilize our greatest strength - our unity and penchant for teamwork, but I know, in the same pit of my stomach, that it will happen, and it will be glorious! 1 3
wastedpotential Posted April 11 Posted April 11 Oh I love a good Larddon Boy lashing Awful song about an awful person and an awful melody and awful, farty instrumentation, a real scourge upon her discography, we'd be better off as a fanbase and as quite frankly as a species if it had never been released and we had never been subjected to its torments 1
mypaintoyou Posted April 11 Posted April 11 I keeps listening to HBHBHB and imagining some songs by the title Fresh out of the slammer-ship to wreck smallest man- what kind of man Down bad-delilah So long, London-HBHB 'My boy- Various storm a dream for that sound 3

PoisonedIvy Posted April 11 Posted April 11 Preach Now has the greatest collection of bridges in Lord's scriptures, I can't hold that in until later I'm sorry 6

vale9001 Posted April 11 Posted April 11 The 2M thing is real. This why she's doing less promo even then speak now. I don't know why are you surprised. It's her peak peak moment. It's her first new album since when the term Taylor mania has been used and created. And WW numbers will be even more shocking. I know we are bored and we make jokes but ... 1
PoisonedIvy Posted April 11 Posted April 11 I'm sorry I'm still not even on the 2M hype train let alone the -unspeakable-. Im barely even on the 1.6M train to beat Mid/89TV, because I'm so sure this album will sound less "commercial" than Midnights sounded. 1 1
Achilles. Posted April 11 Posted April 11 4 minutes ago, Klein said: The countdown discography deep dive made Debut's streams increase by 40% on Tuesday And yet it still came in under 1.5M total streams. Oh First Testament, you will be avenged someday. 2

Redstreak Posted April 11 Posted April 11 Tbh with the smash midnights already was I'm more focused on critical reviews rather than first week numbers
