Okay... but why is the restock only a US thing? They've had two restocks and yet crickets for Oceania.... I hate Her.

She has restocked in the UK

Anyone know why the album is much cheaper on her webstore than retailers? £44.99 at retailers VS £33.99 on taylorswift.com

Were you a fan at the time?

I was like 13 or 14 when Speak Now came out and I'd seen her overcome a lot of the criticisms and obstacles of being a young woman in country music. The speech she gave when she won the Horizon Award at the CMA's(or CMTs? Sjfjsjd), then the Álbum of the Year Grammy for Fearless, all felt like her ascending a mountain. Long Live was the spiritual anthem that accompanied her reaching that peak, alongside its legendary 1M debut first week it was truly just a lightning in a bottle moment. The song is emotionally tied to the experience of being a fan of hers forever in my eyes

I became a fan at the tail end of Speak Now, so I wasn't around for things like the 1M debut. Thanks for taking the time to explain though, that helps me understand why it resonates with a lot of people.

Okay, but we're asking for scraps like lyric teases on socials not an interview....

The way that vinyl will probably become a highly valuable collector's item in like 30 years :deadbanana2:

Wouldn't hurt going on daytime tv and talking about her broken heart or something if she wants to reach those soccer moms who still buy CDs. Do you all remember Adele's 25 promo cycle. I don't think there was a show left that she didn't promote on. She was literally everywhere - doing interviews, skits, games, promo performances etc

How could a interview talking about the making of this album, the current state in life, her insights about interesting topics, be a thing?

It's not even to promote the album itself, but let's not lie and say deep interviews are not awesome. I mean, everyone was going crazy with the quotes from the TIME interview!

She will get torn into pieces if she steps outside and breathes lol, she won't let that control her life and career

Why would you not want more Taylor Swift media appearances and promo when every time she opens her mouth iconic words like "goth punk moment of female rage at being gaslit by an entire social structure" come pouring out?

THE RESTOCK THANK GODDDD :jonny:

I got all three of the non-Manuscript editions with obnoxious overnight shipping and I'll get the other one at Target the day of, so I can hear all the bonus tracks day one in lossless quality :jonny2:

now to get a cd drive on Amazon lmao

it's not like taylor, the biggest person on earth needs promo, it's just that she needs to make her album cycles interesting. don't wanna sound arrogant and selfish, but I hope she promotes TTPD for the sake of entertainment. :clack:

nnnnn my plan exactly :suburban:

I dug out my old old computer tower from like 2009 that has a CD drive and I'm trying to figure out how to attach it to my work laptop (It seems to be possible) so I can use its CD drive to snatch those files and put them on Apple Music for personal reasons

I agree with this. I want her to do some promo but not because she needs it, just because it'll make the cycle interesting and fun. People who think she 'needs' to do promo are quite misguided, she absolutely does not need to. She's already oversaturated and that's why she's sorta disappeared in the lead-up to this release (and was smart for doing so). But hopefully she does some stuff on release week and beyond.

Ugh her mind, I wouldn't even be surprised if the 2m preorders figure is true for this reason alone

Spoiler

I know it's kind of unethical and wrong to FOMO yourself to record-breaking sales through exclusive bonus tracks but I no longer want to pretend to actually care, like I would have bought more than one anyway so at least I get multiple new songs and covers each this time

One would and should expect the "are you not entertained?” pop star to do entertaining things, yes.
