Dear Reader Posted April 10 Posted April 10 The way I was ABSENT from that Midnights thread and now I'm one of the top posters. Oh don't we love growth? 2

Kern Posted April 10 Posted April 10 I wish I could go back in time, unban myself and enter that thread to say that Karma is a bop 1

Holiest Dreams Posted April 10 Posted April 10 I absolutely love Karma's a cat lyric. Sorry not sorry. I do hope TTPD has no glitter pen lyrics though. Not because I don't like them when used in the right song/album (Midnights was perfect) but I just don't think we need that this time around. 4
Dear Reader Posted April 10 Posted April 10 BoZ saying Midnights was finished and sent to mastering on May of 2022. When do we think she started writing/recording TTPD?

vale9001 Posted April 10 Posted April 10 what's the issue with Crazier? if she can record her old songs cause she wrote them even if the masters owner are other people, she can do the same with Crazier right?. Seems the same situation.

What an underrated hymnal, that most of my fellow Swiftism practitioners seem to have little regard for. There's something just wondrous about the harmonies (especially since it's one of the few strong harmony moments on the album where it's not a byproduct of Nathan Chapman trying to get performer royalties too). The way the bassline just meanders around under the topline melody, always complimentary, but always dynamic, is a work of magic. The "ha" in the second verse, the giggle at the end of the bridge, and the HUMMING. I love the humming, I just love the humming! A shame the snaps from Martina McBride's children and their random friends were replaced on the New Testament, that added a nice character. I remember back in the day, im rooting hard for it to be 3rd single instead of You belong with me. Well i was wrong obviously, but theres just something so cute about the line All the other girls, well theyre beautiful but can they write a song for you. It melt my teenage heart.

Kern Posted April 10 Posted April 10 I'm glad I have a job that makes no sense so I can just spam this thread and get paid for it 7
cruelcooper Posted April 10 Posted April 10 Karma's a pop classic tbh. The lyrics are exactly what they need to be say "thank you Karma!” for saving the Mid era and being the banger the album needed 1
a_d_22 Posted April 10 Posted April 10 i hope taylor saw those pages cause if we get another karma is a ******* cat i'm gonna be pissed

I'm so tempted to skip this awful song, but I think that goes against the spirit of a discography countdown review. That's why you can't be my dupe. Untouchable is the worst song on Fearless (after Superstar and most of the vault I'll give you that), and Today Was An Hymn is like top 5, dare I say top 3. At least you're a monumental stan of You're Not Sorry, aka the best surprise song of the entire tour so far.
Dear Reader Posted April 10 Posted April 10 starting my Fearless listen for the day... Fearless (S) is one of her best songs ever, I don't care what anyone says. It'll be the song I'll cry to the most at The Eras Tour (or Long Live) 2 2

What an EXCELLENT piece of music that is. I'm gonna need y'all to wake up and realize that it's actually top 10 on the album. Her little Whitney vocal run in the back of that last chorus, oh the vocalists were running, shaking, screaming, crying, throwing up. She came for their jobs, ended their careers. THANK YOU! "i want you bad but it's come down to nothing, and all i have is your sympathy" the LYRICISM!!!!!!

The way this is the only sign hint to Speak Now is gonna debut with 1m 1st week. Like i was so shocked, how the hell this random country girl got so big and Mine is not exactly a smash hit lead single. The way she build the fanbase since 15 years old leading to Speak now 1m historic debut has to be studied.

Achilles. Posted April 10 Posted April 10 Karma is better than everything on Loser except for Cornelia Street, better than half of reputation, and better than a third of 1989. Karma (feat. Ice Spice) is the single greatest abomination in her entire catalog.
