I hate that it is just the album vocals with new music.  It doesn't work like that.

I mean both of y'all are clearly forgetting about State of Grace Acoustic anyway, so this is a contest for second place :ryan3:

Haunted (Acoustic) would like a word- still furious that she never re-recorded it :irate:

How can she re-record something she never recorded to begin with like the acoustic versions of Haunted and Back To December?

Midnights reached 1000 pages before the release. Wondering if this can do the same thing. 700 pages are impressive though given 0 promo

Oh babe we were gonna hit 700 even without a lyrical snippet :ryan3:

We're moving at ~5 pages an hour, and we've got 40 to go. However, another lyric for us to melt down to might get this to 750 :ryan3:

The problem with the karaoke versions is you can see she is tired. We talk about remaking a song on a studio like it's something you make in 2 minutes, it's actually one of the "hardest" moment in the job of a singer. And she's doing it while also touring and making new albums :rip:

i think all the process started not bad, i actually kinda like new love story both for the new arrangiament + her vocals and her rendition, the feelings. As wildest dreams and this love are good too. After red i feel like she's tired...1989 is really karaoked made in terms of vocals and the vault songs ... she clearly didn't care and just used some refused track made for midnights. 1989 deserved better but i can blame her when she released a new album 1 year before, another TV 4 months before and now we know a new album was coming after 6 months :chick1:

oh and also that very relaxing and not stressful at all thing there is that gigantic tour :pancake:

The fact that it is still "smashing" five years later is (1) irrelevant to me because I listen to music with my ears, not by reading chart positions and (2) indicative of the fact that people have awful taste.

And reputation CAN relate because it's spent most (all?) of the past year in the top 40, even reaching the top 20 quite regularly despite the fact that it is seven years old and does not have the biggest radio hit of her career lifting it up. It would be as high as Loser if DBM got half the radio payola Cruel Summer got. It's nearly as high even without it.

I think it happened right before the SOTB chicken was first delivered, so just before :gaycat6:

Especially after The Other Side of the Door and its excellence :gaycat6:

What was she thinking, setting it up to lose that hard :deadbanana4:

TWAF is the least streamed song on Spotify on an album she's released since like... TMIK and Girl At Home original. Want to imagine being the least streamed song in Taylor's Republic catalogue? Well, TWAF doesn't have to wonder :gaycat4:

Actually, I take back everything I said about fifteen being a shitty single choice. THIS was an incomprehensible one. Whoever told her that shipping this McSoundtrack flop to radio was a good idea was LYING TO HER. SOMEBODY LIED TO HER SEVERAL TIMES, AND TOLD HER THIS SONG WAS FLY, HOT, AND SEXY, AND BEAUTIFUL, AND IT'S NOTHING LIKE THAT, IT'S NOTHING OF THE SORT :deadvision:

lover is not smashing only because of Cruel Summer but Lover song is doing great too after the tour (and better than Don't blame me). We have so many things smashing around no one talks about that (maybe cause CS from the same album is bigger) but Lover song really became a classic. Like Cardigan. Other fanbases would have made 380 threads about the virality of one of these songs, for us there are so much things we didn't even talk about some of them :spin:
