I really did not like some of the clunky lyrics, but I'm sure there are spectacular ones, i just can't remember word by word. was there not a single line that impressed you to the point that it stuck in your head? i thought you like the songs or sumn?
Tusk Posted April 9 Posted April 9 Listen to the inspiration for Clara Bow as a palate cleanser for this thread. Mabel Normand was a silent film actress that Stevie wrote about as a parallel to her life.

She wasn't chasing fame with Calvin, she was at her peak (1st peak in hindsight) but still. I'm also inclined to think it's someone not famous who is now leading a normal, married life. The song reminds me of that line in Fifteen "Back then I swore I was gonna marry him someday but I realized some bigger dreams of mine". If this music thing hadn't worked out, she could see herself being with this person and taking a different life path. Yeah, it's almost certainly about Drew Dunlap (Tim McGraw Drew, not TOMG Drew), her first real boyfriend with whom there are unconfirmed rumors she was hooking up with over the years until he got married

Magickarp Posted April 9 Posted April 9 So are we gonna ask why that user had to switch to a dupe? So that he can claim it wasn't him when the lyrics are wrong? 1

vale9001 Posted April 9 Posted April 9 the clara bow lyrics sounds really fake. Dynastee you have to write to ChatGPT "write taylor swift lyrics of a song called Clara Bow. Don't mix 2008 taylor swift lyrics"
JoJo Posted April 9 Posted April 9 Y'all I just asked ChatGPT to write a song about Clara Bow by Taylor Swift, and one of the lyrics is "a silent screen queen, a timeless grace.” Either Taylor's writing has become predictable, or, well… 1 4
Achilles. Posted April 9 Posted April 9 The way I advised our insider to come up with a memorable turn of phrase and she cooked up "the lyrics aren't all bad.” Exceeded expectations! Her mind! 3

Mandalore Posted April 9 Posted April 9 I'm only okay with entertaining fake insiders when we're obviously making fun of them. Some of y'all need to get it together! 1 1
Maroon legacy Posted April 9 Posted April 9 imo the most suspicious thing is that among these "potential singles" not present neither MBOBHFT nor Down Bad. Usually her 1-4 tracks are the most lit part of the album with maximum of a 1 skip. You can't tell me that after lead single/opener and a title track she will immediately go to experimental not commerical sound twice and then straight into track 5

vale9001 Posted April 9 Posted April 9 (edited) i didn't get why you fell for someone saying track 1 sounds evermore, tracks 2 sounds all too well. Very reputation Edited April 9 by vale9001
wastedpotential Posted April 9 Posted April 9 Anyway, I'm midway through my Debut experience (six hours late but what can I do about that nnn) and I just cannot wait for Mother Mary's Hymn (Oh Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah) to get its TWILY moment. Lets get it booked on TSITP season 3 and lets get it booked for TikTok payola 1
Achilles. Posted April 9 Posted April 9 WaiT. Lemme spend the day listening to the debut bible. It's only 30 plays away from becoming my 13th most played album. Gods. I spent the last few days listening to nothing but Dolly Parton (195 consecutive plays!). Yeehawlor sounds SO GOOD right now.

I will say that I'm very, very relieved Taylor is scot free of having any associations with someone convicted of such crimes
