And you all still believe It after this

:suburban:

Well we got nothing to believe since Taylor is serving father who went out to buy cigarettes and never came back.

A little meltdown over possible fake tea is refreshing, look at how many pages we are now, we just locked that +620K debut.

Right? @Sweetenertea's tea about the tracks is:

1.    "Fortnight" (featuring Post Malone) - pop like Wrapped around your finger by Post Malone; lead single
2.    "The Tortured Poets Department" - soft rock like All Too Well

8.    "Florida!!!" (featuring Florence and the Machine) - Florence has verse, alt pop vibes; Florence is one of the producers

10.    "Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?" - a sad ballad like Cornelia street. Theme is like 'tolerate it". Very relatable and sad. She blames herself for the ending of a relationship, feels left in the dark of what went wrong and how she hurt him.

11.    "I Can Fix Him (No Really I Can)" - felt tongue in cheek but also in denial about end of a relationship;  loud, poppy and upbeat chorus like IDSB.

so as I said only one track is like reputation. Not because it sounds like that (it's clearly not the genre of the album) but just because the chorus is big and loud.

It's not all bad lyrics, but there are clunky lyrics, but it's the charm of it. Plus we don't know what the rest of the album is like lyrics wise

@Sweetenertea could your bio on Twitter being "Joe Alwyn's PR Manager" have anything to do with your opinions on the album?

Unrelated to anything, but "karma is a cat purring in my lap cause it loves me" is actually a good lyric.

The reason why the songwriters people like to fawn over like Lana and Fiona Apple don't write "clunky" lyrics like that is not because they're the best songwriters of all time and can't write a "bad" lyric, it's because they don't have the range to take themselves less seriously. And that's the charm with Taylor Swift.

this!! taylor's talent comes not only from being able to write a song like atw or dear john or cardigan, but also being able to write a song like bejeweled or karma or cruel summer. having the range to create both wanegbt and epiphany is pretty impressive.

and yes - karma is fantastically written! very great metaphors and imagery!! super clever and very funny!!

13.    "I Can Do It with a Broken Heart" - alt-pop sound like Holy Ground / evermore

Genuinely sounds like her best album to me? :jonny5:So confused about the meltdowns

Sweetenertea literally said they hate both folklore and evermore, I wouldn't take their opinion on the lyrics (after one listen) that seriously.

I'm all in for laughing and "believing" this tea but something I refuse to believe is that the album Taylor herself said it's the one she needed songwriting the most has "chunky" and "not at all bad lyrics".

This is as fake as Taylor's relationship with Tom Hiddleston.

It seems like a pop album with strong alt rock influences to me. Holy Ground isn't alt pop but country rock imo. And I don't think an album called Poets and written by Taylor Swift will have bad lyrics.

waiT, ugh she should've sold it to Barbie, & gotten her Oscar that way.

It would've gotten more promo than the actual MR got too :clown:
