5 hours till the next lyric, assuming it's once a day, assuming there's a pattern, which there isn't since the story was posted at like 2:12

Idkw there wasn't a pattern for MMWM either. Sometimes 3 days, sometimes 2 days. I'm GLAD the leak ****** over her plans.

@Sweetenertea thank you for keeping this thread alive legend.

now I have one question about Florida!!! and I would be more than happy if you answered it.

does Florida!!! remind you of a specific taylor or florence album? does it sound more like florence's music or taylor's?

does it have a haunting/ethereal vibe to it?

If She really performs with lana then the album is really indie rock. 12 minutes songs with 3 minutes of "real Song" and then 8 minutes of her "Yoko Ono" impression. Maybe the insider meant this with "noisy".

Would not surprise me if she went out for Lana's set or jacks set or both

The way folklore does nut hold together as an ablum. It's too long, the production gets dreary, some of the experiments sound very put on and not lived-in ("Seven", "This Is Me Trying", "Epiphany"). The first 4 tracks always make me think I'm experiencing the best ablum of all time, and then it turns into a bit of a slog. Mad Woman=>Epiphany=>Betty is especially criminal, all bonus material at best. The sings all sound better when you hear them in isolation than as a whole ablum. evermore clears so easily.

Morning, fellow ATRLers. I woke up today and reality hit me that the tea from yesterday was not a weird dream. Hate that for us!

On another note, I noticed Ms. Sweetener writing style is too similar to Ms. Grande herself, maybe it's her trying to get us to hate TTPD and stream Eternal Sunshine instead. We won't fall for it!

1.  I don't unfortunately

2. I know fortnight is the lead and I can see that. I don't have the best skills in saying if a song is single material. For example, I would say IDSB from rep could be a single. But since it seems many ppl don't like that song, I am clearly bad at it.

3. I should have said emotionally checked out tbh. I think I did say he left her, but was more so moved on emotionally from what I gathered. Yes about the breakup or relationship struggles. Florida is tongue in cheek and same with I can fix him in a sense!

4. I remember it being first person, Florida I am a bit hazy on, was good but not my favourite.
5. I heard sad songs, but like IVFITH is like mid-tempo, ICFH is upbeat

Thank you so much! Glad to hear it's not only sad ballads but also mid-tempo and upbeat. It's sad that he made her feel like "tolerate it".

I have the feeling "I Can Do It With A Broken Heart" might be the lead. It's the title that captures my attention the most.

Mr. S leaked his first tidbit of Cowboy Carter 2 days, & 11 hours before it dropped.

Didn't Mr.S leak stuff about Midnights like a week in advance? About it being like Melodrama etc.

WHY???? WHY REPUTATION????

melt-down-mad.gif

Did she wake up one day and think to herself ,' Oh! Which of my albums sounds the most dated and whose single runs almost killed my radio momentum? Let me remake that!"

melt-down-mad.gif

If there is a song as bad as End Fame, Garbage , or This Is Why I Can't Write a Good Song

I swear to god. I swear to F**KING GOD

I love how one person's opinion based on one listen of 20% of the album has spurred all this :ahh:

The lyricism of red, the personality of rep, the melodies of 1989, the production of folklore … do we see the vision

Unrelated to anything, but "karma is a cat purring in my lap cause it loves me" is actually a good lyric.

The reason why the songwriters people like to fawn over like Lana and Fiona Apple don't write "clunky" lyrics like that is not because they're the best songwriters of all time and can't write a "bad" lyric, it's because they don't have the range to take themselves less seriously. And that's the charm with Taylor Swift.

Lana has a lot of clunky lyrics btw. It's part of her character too.

The other One makes an album every 107 years.

Right? @Sweetenertea's tea about the tracks is:

1.    "Fortnight" (featuring Post Malone) - pop like Wrapped around your finger by Post Malone; lead single
2.    "The Tortured Poets Department" - soft rock like All Too Well

8.    "Florida!!!" (featuring Florence and the Machine) - Florence has verse, alt pop vibes; Florence is one of the producers

10.    "Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?" - a sad ballad like Cornelia street. Theme is like 'tolerate it". Very relatable and sad. She blames herself for the ending of a relationship, feels left in the dark of what went wrong and how she hurt him.

11.    "I Can Fix Him (No Really I Can)" - felt tongue in cheek but also in denial about end of a relationship;  loud, poppy and upbeat chorus like IDSB.

13.    "I Can Do It with a Broken Heart" - alt-pop sound like Holy Ground / evermore
