The fact you believe someone says track 1 sounds like that post Malone Song and then track 2 sounds like all too well.

:dies:

red had all too well and stay, stay, stay (leave, leave, leave on opposite day) what makes u think ttpd won't be sonically all over the place

Like I could never switch on the album that gave us tracks 1-6, Labyrinth, Karma, The Great War, WCS, Hits Different and YLM. Objectively these all range from very solid to god-tier. :jonnycat: And I enjoy pretty much everything else, even if I don't actively seek them out unless I'm doing a full listen.

Exactly. :clap3:

Pretty much the only Midnights tracks I don't like are Snow On The Beach (I'm sorry I've tried, and that was actually something worth having a meltdown over because I'm also a Lana stan, but I just don't like the song :skull:), Sweet Nothing, and the Karma Remix. Those are the three I just don't like, and the one I go back and forth on and skip fairly regularly is Vigilante Sh*t (sometimes I feel it's campy, sometimes I feel it's cringe).

But that's it. I either love, like, or enjoy everything else. In fact, two of Midnights' songs are among my favorite Taylor songs of all time.

just remembered the excerpt from times magazine

"She tells me about revisiting Reputation, which is perhaps the most charged era in the tour. "It's a goth-punk moment of female rage at being gaslit by an entire social structure,” she says, laughing. "I think a lot of people see it and they're just like, Sick snakes and strobe lights.”

She was preparing us here, how did we not catch on?

Weird that my opinion is exactly the same. Like I skip the exact same songs and Vigilante Sh*t I also go back and forth. :rip:

Me when she revealed Karma song title.

Knowing Taylor, she will prove us wrong.

Midnights is great

reputation is only bad with IDSB, Gorgeous, KOMH, and TIWWCHNT.

We'd be blessed to get Delicate, So It Goes, Call It What You Want, Don't Blame Me, Getaway Car, Dancing With Our Hands Tied, and Dress sibling songs.

So it's an alt pop album, some songs are giving reputation and one of the best is WAOLOM?

Oh I WON :WAP:

How many pages just from that :deadbanana2:

Btw it looks to me like this is going to sound the way we expected MIDnights to sound when all we had was the photo shoot :gaycat4:

Also "I Did Something Bad" and "King of My Heart" suck on the album but they were so great at the tour. Some people don't like Ready for It? in the musical context of the album either and yet it is one of her greatest live songs to witness, the energy is undefeated. reputation is high brow, living breathing ART. And I will die on the mountaintop defending it

But let's be real, she is not going to replicate the noisy electroclash sounds of RFI, IDSB, and KOMH on an album called "The Tortured Poets Department.” Stop melting down and prepare yourselves for biblical hymns and spiritual successors to "Call It What You Want" and "So It Goes"

Vigilante Sh*t is so complicated for me. :dies: It's obviously not one of her strongest songs ever or anything, and from the get go of Midnights' release I went back and forth with it. After going to Eras though, I warmed up to it because it really is a lot of fun to see live and the performance gives off great energy.

I'm still back and forth with it now, though.

TTPD (song) sounds like a classic alread:jonny2: Soft rock, 2000's, sounds like All Too Well, track 2, named the entire album, AND it was the insider's favorite song:jonny3:

I love the Florence track description being "yeah, she sings on it" :bibliahh:

I am blaming the Chats and Reacts girls for the Reputa regression, 'cause they've been known to display questionable tastes and Reputa is one them...

1989, reputation, folklore and Midnights are perfect pop albums.

Lover and Red are pop playlists.

The way Ajay and Chats & Reacts can claim fame and relevance because of their reputation album reaction, just like puta's second fanbase.

OH puta, the album that you are. Let's hope PTSD gags album reactioners again. It's never been the same since — see Loser to MIDnights.

I wonder if Ajay ever realisesd that folkmore wasn't biographical ... girlie tried her best to get into folklore the second time through but you could see it on her face... she was confusion

I refuse to let y'all write off reputation as a bad album, you think it just fell out of a coconut tree? :ahh:

It exists in the context of all of which it lives and what came before it.
