I know… I'm so sorry!

The song I can fix him had loud, poppy and upbeat chorus was how it reminds me of Rep!! I haven't heard full album but I enjoyed it!

Oh, I get it! Could you name some artists the tracks you listened to reminded you of? For instance, you mentioned that Fortnight brought to mind a song by Post Malone.

You mean like what everyone said ME!dnights would have?

well yes because the article that said that was released far too close to the Midnights release to have had any bearing on that music but was released at probably about the exact moment she was putting in the work for TTPD. Exactly that :suburban:

Yeah, it's given us all a reason to blow through a page every 10 minutes, and considering that the goal was (still is?) 1k pages before the release, we have work to do :suburban:

I'd been joking about trying to gaslight myself into thinking this was going to be her Witness or Joanne to lower my expectations so I could really be blown away by the album, and how I'd failed do that successfully. Well... this was awfully demoralizing, and perfectly sets me up to be destroyed by the album :suburban:

"I love how you guys let me change genres!!!”

I see we’ve reached THAT stage of the album rollout

:suburban:

A notice to everyone who wasn’t here during secret sessions era (and a reminder to those that were) that you cannot rely on any individual’s taste or musical references to determine how you will receive an album - or even what it sounds like

Yeah, you know I'm all about a #reputadraggingsessions (I partake quite frequently), but it's best not to say too much about miss CIWYWSUS

@Sweetenertea why did you only have the chance to hear just 6 songs and not the full album? Do you work somewhere important like a label or something?

We need more tea :gaycat7: Can't you listen to the full album and give us more tea or you're only accessible to six songs?

Honestly if this album basically served Red-putation I'd be in heaven as long as it lacks some of the harder edged sounds on the cheekier Reputation tracks - not that I don't love them too, but that can get a little grating, you know? Reputa is much more broadly an album about love, and tracks like CIWYW would be welcome on any Pop Taylor record.

Yes, but it's been really boring in here for the past few weeks since we've had nothing to discuss, so at least we get to have a spot of fun with the newest iteration of lyrics that cut glass before the album comes out

I love that you're so positive :suburban:

I, in contrast, am starting to bury myself in the trench I'm currently inhabiting, as I think it would make a nice spot for a grave and I'm not sure if I'll make it through the night :suburban:
