I'm feeling some promo is coming today at 3 pm (european time) . Like an interview + cover

:lakitu:

I think we might get an interview but no covers. She already did her magazine interview of the year for  Times Person of the Year.

Anything else will be much lesser in comparison.

begging for this sound on TTPD

Someone mentioned Dance Fever as one of Jack's recent projects but The 1975's Being Funny in a Foreign Language is also something he would've been working on around the initial creation of TTPD (I think), and Taylor would mesh so well with that sound.

Spoiler

Stupid Matty, sticking his d!ck in places that end up blowing up his shitty behavior and preventing us from getting the music we deserve :chick3:

She knows the songs about Matty and Joe will be dissected every where and She doesn't need any promo, everything will come from the minute 1.

We know that too but we like to act like we don't know that

It'll be 5am here. I plan on getting an early night… fortunately I have the day off work (plus the day before)… so I'll clean the house, light some candles, put down some fresh bedding… have a cup of tea (maybe some snacks?)… slide on some good quality headphones and just press play.

THAT is the perfect kind of listening experience for me.

I've been so consumed with Cowboy Carter & Deeper Well that I low key forgot TTPD was coming so soon. 11 days to go:jonny:

I clearly remember that first time I listened to Midnights at midnight, but it came out on streaming only at 7 am, so I was listening to HQ chicken :lakitu: would you do the same, if ttpd was out the oven in hq early that night?

100% agreed, if it came out at night for me I'd do that, no doubt about it, but at 6 am it just doesn't hit the same - although I did it for midnights and it was honestly really cute.

The best experience was when Florence's Dance Fever came out though - out on a balcony in pitch black night with candles, a blanket and a glass of wine, truly heaven.

I resisted the urge with Midnights so I think/hope I'll be able to wait.

If if somehow leaks in HQ a full day or so earlier then THAT is going to be torture.

I'm mostly anxious for the HDD thread so we can spam these gifs

That sounds so lovely.

Yeah that's what I tend to do with midnight releases in the U.K., my Radical Optimism listening experience will be very much like that (minus the balcony!)

my favorite first listening experience was folklore. i was in college and had just moved into my first apartment. my roommates hadn't moved in yet so i had a fairly large space to myself. i only had two lamps on so there was just this lovely glow, and there were big windows surrounded by big trees. it was absolutely perfect. i laid on my dining room floor in darkness when mirrorball came on :rip:

Who will prevail?

SUvJA.gif

Environmentalist, vinyl variant destroyer, Olivia Rodrigo supporter Billie Ellish, or environment terrorist, carbon emissioner, Olivia suer, can't-even-cross-400k-likes-on-Twitter tortured poet Taylor Swift?

Stay tuned for more!

If we do get a vogue / vogue uk cover, it would be mid April… let's pray

I still regret my 1st folklore listen, it was like 5AM I was half-asleep and literally nothing went in, my head was empty no thoughts

For TTPD I'm going to repeat each sing a few times before moving on to the next, to draw the experience out and get to grips with each sing  I don't want the experience to end within like an hour.

IDK, I feel like the title track might be the Blank Space of PTSD...

Oh you mean one of her best songs? :coffee2:

So good she even scrapped the MV for it and its push for single because no one liked it. It's one of her worst songs. Nothing works: the lyrics are weak and the production is lackluster. It has no pulse, no life, no sparkle. The 1989 Vault in its entirety is like that, you can sense she's incredibly tired and who can blame her for that

As much as I enjoyed listening to Midnights for the first time I was SO tired by the time I got to Dear Reader :gaycat6:

I agree in that if you don't have many pauses between the songs they can blur a little and you don't get to fully appreciate them as individual tracks…

Personally I've never understood the hype of staying up late/waking up extremely early to hear new songs. The album will still be there when you wake up refreshed and it's easier to enjoy an album when you aren't pushing back tiredness

The album comes out at 11pm for me, I get off of work at 7pm that day so my friend wants us to watch The Eras Tour on Disney+. We want to time it so it ends right at as the album releases :jonny2:

Which is why that listening party at the club is a huge NO from me :biblio:

My plan too!! Eras tour seamlessly transitioning into a new era
