A fortnight from now I will be getting ready to decide which Taylor albums I want to listen to in the final hours as lead ups to TTPD. :jonny4:

Right now I'm thinking Evermore + Midnights + my favorites from Red TV + things like Renegade, Birch, The Alcott, etc. because those are the vibes I'm getting. :jonny4:

Look at me now, I'm fresh out the SLAMMER, escaped the jail cell before he clocked me with a HAMMER, feeling alright now, decked out in Hollywood glamor, what's that I hear,  you talking bout my manners?

Okay, I want and like this hip hop poetry. :jamming:

Is it tho. She's definitely petty and vindictive enough to want to rub a new relationship in her ex's face while still being in love with him. Not saying that I KNOW that's what's happening but that's kind of the vibes I get (again hopefully I'm wrong because that would suck for her)

Spoiler

You say you don't know that yet you assume it anyway. It's kind of the worst thing to assume about someone's character. What about her makes you think she's THIS vindictive? Have you not been paying attention? What exactly is rubbing in his face? The fact that she's finally with someone who is neither afraid nor intimidated by the spotlight she inevitably has on her anytime she's outside? I guess it's a matter of how you perceive the person, to me, this is the most "normal" I've seen her in what seems a healthy dynamic; one that finally matches her true self and energy. As someone who has followed Taylor for more than a decade, to me she's a hopeful romantic at heart. When she suffers heartbreak she feels it deeply but she never gives up on the idea that the right one will come along. She truly loves ''Love" and believes in it.

For someone to write You're Losing Me in 2021 and continue on for a whole other year makes me think she was emotionally checked-out from Joe but just was scared to put the final nail in the coffin. If I had to take a guess, it's a sunk-cost fallacy situation where you've been with someone for so long that it's terrifying to throw it all away. She's also very aware of how the sexist media was going to perceive this (oh there, another break-up!). Their dynamic wasalso  obviously very toxic for her, they met at her lowest point mentally and she developped this unbalanced savior complex towards him because he really was an escape for her in that time, you can tell from the way she wrote about him. She was writing about an ideal and less of a real person imo. When clouds cleared, dust settled they just weren't a match in personnality. He couldn't (or didn't want to, considering how he's moving now) deal with her regaining back her fame and wanting to be that active again. He never bothered to show her support in the way she showed him. To sum up, they spoke very different love langages and just weren't compatible. Stay tuned till April 19th to learn more about the not so golden side of him.

Sorry this turned into sort of a rant but I'm sick of people (and fans at that) assuming the worst about her like she's this pathetic loser who can't possibly move on. That stale piece of bread wasted enough of her energy & time and we're not gonna let him tarnish the narrative of her present personal life.

When was the last time Taylor Nation were this quiet? Especially on a new album rollout? It's so weird, I want to understand it!
Maybe something IS happening soon (other than the album release ofc)

Joe was just pretentious. Everytime he opened his damn mouth. So unlikable. He makes Hillary Clinton seem delightful

I agree. Every single time I read or seen one of his interviews I either cringed or rolled my eyes. Sometimes I feel like everybody is an art bro lately

I've been going back and forth on Folklore. It would be like listening to Speak Now—literally my favorite album, but I don't think it'll get me ready for TTPD in any way.

I'm not listening to Puta. :suburban:

Spoiler

Of course these are all blind "feels and vibes" so there's a high chance I'm missing the mark anyway :suburban:

From a purely physical standpoint, Travis is her first boyfriend I actually find attractive. :deadbanana2: All the previous ones, especially Joe, I was like "heeey beauty is in the eye of the beholder, as long as you're happy girl" :dies: Thing is, I think Travis is her best match personality-wise more than anything which makes this whole thing of how they got together such a funny twist of fate to me. The universe really rewarded her for taking a risk and dropping the dead-weight that was dragging her down.

He had negative charisma. Like whatever is the opposite of charisma, he had that. Just gives boring energy hidden behind that classically pretentious and serious façade. (I'd know about the Brits of his class, lived a lot there and mingled with them)

I'm listening to each album per day (and it's orphan songs for each era) starting April 9th, so April 18th will be Midnights era day :clap3:

I long for the electric guitar version she uses on tour!! I want THAT on Spotify. It gives the song another flavor and a whole new shelf life

Nah but seriously, that tour instrumental is one of her best arrangements live ever. It's just THAT good, I agree with you :jonnycat:
