I can definitely see that being true too, but i feel like Travis' material will predominately be TS12. No way the first game she attended makes this album, but maybe some of their private dates over late summer that she referenced in TIME's POTY interview

The economy is in the tank right now too and a lot of people are extra grumpy and out of work so they project their frustration onto her. Between her ~scandal dating Matty and the super public Travis relationship, she's gone beyond 1989 overexposure so it's natural people are losing it when it comes to her especially people who always disliked her or were looking for a reason to. ANYWAY. I'm hoping the first single is a Cruel Summer-level BOP. We deserve a visual era. I want videos. We got like, one for Speak Now TV and it's been crickets otherwise. Nothing for 1989 TV :( yeah I agree with you. I think that we are finally reaching a bit of over exposure (which is wild because it really took a lot longer than expected). The issue is that this hype will continue on until ALL the re recordings are complete which can look like end of 2025 or 2026....and then there's the tour possibly being extended and then there's her directing a movie and stuff lol. It feels like this level of hype will continue at least another 3 years which is great for us as fans but it does worry me that she may be entering a bit of overexposure officially. While I know MANY fans have become skeptical of the idea of over exposure with Taylor I do think that it's still a thing...it's just the bandwith with the GP has expanded when it comes to her because she is an overall unproblematic and beloved queen to much of the GP BUT even they are starting to be a little tilted now. I do hope that once the eras tour is done and the re recordings are over that she takes a solid year or two gap of just writing for the movie she will be directing....she deserves a bit of "off time" if we can count writing a script as off time LOL 1 1
Magickarp Posted April 4 Posted April 4 What if the ✌️album is just TTPD but spoken word poem version? 1

That's why I've given only one track for Travis that would be in the lane of Begin Again. That's what I want and what I deserve. 1 1

With that said, there's no way she's going for a teen punk rock sound. If it's a pop album with rock influences, think more Fleetwood Mac, Florence + The Machine… Someone already said it but if there's one album I think this will be similar to, it's Dance Fever by Florence. Mix that sound with some The National flare, thanks to Aaron and Bryce. Why? Go girl, give us another kids bop! That's definately a good idea! I know that I'm a tortured, baby, uh I know I never think before I flop And you're the kind of guy the ladies scared of (And there's a lot of cooked chicks out there)

Not being on a career peak doesn't mean being flop, especially in Taylor's case. 1 1

I can definately see Travis tracks being on the album as a healing chapter, similar to Begin Again, but at the same time maybe she wrote about Joe and everything else too much, so there's no place left for love songs. But idk, maybe the bonus tracks (Manuscript, Bolter, Albatross, Black Dog) are Joeover leftovers that she threw away to give some space for the healing chapter. But tbh, not a single title gives me Tayvis vibe. The Alchemy and loml are both giving me sad Joeover. EDIT: but yeah, the part of being a tortured poet is probably having hope for bright future and love, so love songs could really apear on that album. And I wonder if we will get some explanation on Matty's situation. Edited April 4 by Maroon legacy 1
PoisonedIvy Posted April 4 Posted April 4 The Alchemy is gonna be a masterpiece, she's gonna talk about how she turned something into gold that was really just coal 1

But counting that The Alchemy is 15th track coming right after The Smallest Man, maybe she won't drag him another time and really sing about her new love 1

Completely agree that the bonus tracks are more Joe songs, except for The Albatross imo, that's going to be another song about her celebrity like Clara Bow I think. 1

Dear Reader Posted April 4 Posted April 4 I wish Florida!!! would exude the energy and have the same sound as this song 2 1
Post Malone Posted April 4 Posted April 4 We want song descriptions like Anti, Lavender and Snow. WORK girl
Klein Posted April 4 Posted April 4 Now hear me out, I need a litteral cover of this song on TTPD. This is the track 5 (SLL who?). This is everything. 1
PoisonedIvy Posted April 4 Posted April 4 loml = last of my letters? This album serving as the last letter she's writing to her former lover. The albatross cover matches his poster from the film apparently 5

It's just weird that this is for The Albatross cover when I don't see how this song could be about Joe. But you never know with her. Spoiler Also keep in mind our queen of rumination and intrusive thoughts will definitely write about him again in a future album, even if a single song. Edited April 4 by Klein 3

Klein Posted April 4 Posted April 4 Just stumbled upon this, very interesting that for the Red era she said "All's fair in music and songwriting", and now for TTPD it's "All's fair in love and poetry". The parallels between Red and TTPD just keep coming and coming. Spoiler 5
