English is not my first language but even I knew machiavellian, gauche, illicit and altruism. :rip:

3 words to look over 2 albums is hardly thesaurus'd.

What about the writing in Speak Now/Red and folklore/evermore is very different? :gaycat3:

I honestly find the type of writing on these two duos to be very different. SN/Red were a lot more about "instant" feelings. Like a raw reaction, when you are still fully in it. It is very reactive.

While in folkmore the writting is much more "distant". It is written in hindsight. It's clear she did not just pour an emotion she felt into a song without taking a long time to truly understand everything it could mean.

At least it makes sense in my head, but I'm at work and I can't really articulate what I mean

No I actually see what you mean and I completely agree nnn. The songwriting styles are very different. Red and SN have a specific autobiographical tone (like the majority of her music) and were about recent events in her life and basically her pouring her heart and fresh feelings into them. But she managed to keep her Swiftian magic touch with folkmore (like the subtle and not-so-obvious-to-the-average-listener hints at the masters fiasco on MTR and several songs being about Joe for example), that's why I love them a lot. Both albums owe so much to Red imo because it still felt like she returned to her roots through the lens of a much more matured songwriting.

"the lines between fantasy and reality blur and the boundaries between truth and fiction become almost indiscernible" was a fantastic concept that shot her to new artistic heights, further cementing her as one of THEE best songwriters OAT. :gaycat4:

That also reminds me, I hope she goes back to using characters as vehicles for storytelling with TS12/TS13. Watching her unload her feelings and experiences into different scenarios and characters is fun and it also gives her personal life a bit more privacy. Obviously not gonna happen with this one since it's our first break up album since Red.

And Red is a breakup album about a 3 month relationship :rip:  Imagine a 6 years one.

I think Taylor just wants to say the truth before rep TV is released.

She uplifted Joe so much through her storytelling that that nothing-man has widows.

And that's exactly why I need her to put all of her talentussy into it. If she was able to craft ATW about a 3 months relationship then Joe widows better hide

We do have the tracklist. Though is there still a theory unsaid about any of the song?

isnt this just what she said at the folklore long pond studio

From my perspective, what she said in the lpss is that she needed to go away from her strictly autobiographical writing. But for me the difference in writing in folklore is Red is more than just fictive vs autobiographical. The writing in Red is more "in the moment" while the writing on folklore is more "in hindsight".

If it's not clear, then I'd say I imagine her writing Red when the wound is still open and she's still bleeding. In folklore, the wound is still here but closed and healing is in process.

iHeart awards are on that day. She might go? She likes to show up for them even when she really hadn't had to in years.

I don't think she'll be there. They are honoring Beyoncé (and her attendance is confirmed I think ?) and apart from the Grammy, I don't recall the last time they were together at the same ceremony.

She should change the Red's stylization to RED on streaming services one week before the TTPD release. Imagine the collpase.. my mind :jonny5:

I don't know why people keep repeating the 3 months relationship line? I mean unless she spoke about the timeline it's all media speculation. It also seemed on & off? She implies in ATW10MV that he reached out and wanted another go after 3 months of "breaking up".

It's the same with her relationship with Styles, people assumed it was a short fling but from the vault tracks and even "Style" back then, it started and ended long before anyone suspected.

I don't think "thesaurus" is necessarily a drag — I see it as saying the folkmore writing seems more sophisticated, which it does. Giving v much Victorian woman as she intended

it's mostly because beyoncé is so over these award shows and doesn't give a flying **** about anything other than the grammys, meanwhile taylor goes to award shows to have fun and win all of her nominations

Taylor was honored with that award last year and I can see them try to create a moment and have her introduce Beyoncé. (Something she'd be down to do imo)

She's also thankful for iHeart vowing to rotate her old versions out of their stations as soon as the new ones come out. I'm not saying she's definitely going but I wouldn't be surprised if she showed up.

well excluding Gaga which has already been done (Golden Globe 2019), Adele and Rihanna for OBVIOUS reasons (:rip:), Beyoncé is the only music celebrity worthy of being introduced by Taylor Swift, so it wouldn't surprise me if the Music Industry itself introduces a music legend

Fresh Out the Slammer becoming one of my most anticipated tracks. It seems like the ONE that's gonna really look inside her mind and share her thoughts, both good and bad, after things ended
